GPS will often lose satellite signal. Signal is generally lost at critical moments on a trip. Moved to different locations in vehicle with no improvement. Have to run gps with a cell phone gps for those moments it gets confused.Does not always stay on the route configured in the routing software. Unless you add lots of way points to the trip.

We tried 770 last year on our cross country trip. We gave up after a couple of legs of our trip. The TripMaker does not integrate wit the RV GPS. The GPS has to have exact addresses as listed in GPS software. Road Atlas is just a bunch of PDF and you cannot zoom in to get closer image with more details. Concept is good but it does not work like Google or Apple Maps.

If I can ever figure out how to use it, I’m sure I will love it.

I am usually very good at programing things, but this was tooooo hard! I couldn't figure it out, so I returned it.

I first want to start out by saying that I never write reviews, but I wanted to make sure someone else does not throw their money out the window like I did on this product. Be prepared to be on the phone holding a minimum of 50 minutes to talk to a customer service representative.. I just came back from an RV trip that I bought this device to keep us out of dangerous roads, etc. Instead this device routed us into a very dangerous situation towing a 5th Wheel. Luckily my husband is an experienced driver and we were not injured nor was our vehicle. I immediately called Rand McNally and since I purchased the item more than 30 days ago all they could tell me was "I am so sorry to hear that"! So now I have a $300.00 brick that I will NEVER use. Rand McNally does not back their products. I was so disappointed in their customer service.

Confusing user interface and the Quick Start Guide is not much help. Routes sometimes take you on slower bumpy roads for no good reason. We met others who had this unit and found the same.

Id bet this operating system is circa 1995!! I feel like watching paint dry would be faster! WHEN you can get it programmed (will LITERALLY take you 2-3 HOURS!!!) I love what it will do! But you best have an entire evening to invest in plotting out your trip!
