I own two of these in my home, along with an EnGenius EWS360AP. I do not use a managed switch or any centralized management software. I simply test the three access points with WiFi Analyzer Pro and perform a manual check for firmware updates every two months. The access points are set to channels 1, 6, and 11, and have the same SSID and password. Therefore, I can move about my home and my Android phone automatically moves between them. They maintain connections reliably. If one of the three access points fails due to a hardware problem, the other two maintain connectivity until I replace it.

I've been a fan of Engenius for a long time. I've had tremendous success with their ENH-500's and their EAP1250. That being said, the experience I've had with this access point has been a major disappointment. Long story short, the WiFi goes in and out constantly.Long story: I thought my phone was the issue, so I bought a new phone. $800 later and the new phone has the same issues. I've passed my refund deadline, so now I have a junk AP and dished out $800 for a new phone for nothing. Unfortunate indeed. I wouldn't have been caught out like this, except I've been in the process of moving homes and this all went down during that process.
