I have shoulder length hair and like the soft waves look. The 3/4 inch barrel is perfect for this, as it gives you a tight spiral cural that you can brush out to get the waves.I used to curl my hair with a straightening iron because it has always been the quickest with how hot it gets and with how it clamps down on both sides of the hair. This wand gets hot enough to be as quick and as effective, so I can use it in place of the straightener. I like this wand more since it's easier to wrap hair around it (rather than having to go quickly and pull hair through a clamp), and because the curls are slightly more uniform and smooth. With the straightener, sometimes the curls would look a little more "square" where the hair bent around the flat part of the straightener if you didn't pull it at just the right speed. It's also hard to pull each section of hair through the straightener at the same rate. With a curling wand, it's much easier to be consistent.My hair also kept its curl the next day, so it holds well!

Best curling wand I’ve ever used. I own several & high end curling wands that essentially don’t even come close to this one now.I have finer hair & this curling wand achieved gorgeous curls that looked even more flawless after a couple of hours once they fell a bit & looked more beachy/ loose.If I could give it 10/10 stars I would. I’ve had at least 7 friends ask what curling wand I use when I post photos with my hair curled by this wand.

This wand is PERFECT! The curls that I wore in the dress were straight from the wand, while the curls in the orange fit were from using the wand then putting the wand curls in flexi rods one by one. I also used this wand to lay my frontal parting. This wand is definitely worth buying!

This is very basic. I have shoulder-length thick hair that is quite wavy in some areas, and straight in others. I wanted something to add waves to the less wavy areas and balance it out. The 3/4" is the perfect size for that. It took a bit to figure out how to use a curling wand, I am used to a curling iron. Once you get the hang of it, it's not bad. You'll get the best results with patience, and using evenly small amounts of hair at a time. You absolutely want to use the heat protection glove because it's nearly impossible not to burn yourself when wrapping your hair. The wand doesn't have any temperature settings, just on/off. It heats up fast, and hot enough to get the job done but doesn't seem to be too hot. It's a decent wand for a novice user to the curling wand world. It's not the best out there by any means, but if you only occasionally want to curl/wave your hair, it'll work. If you want a curling wand for frequent use, I'd spend more on something with more temperature controls since no two heads of hair are the same.

This wand was purchased as a last minute option for curling my daughters very thick hair. It worked amazing. The glove makes it a little easier to handle the very ends of hair when curling. I highly recommend this product well worth the cost

My wife bought this to try. In the past she would spend time curling her hair and it would start to lose the curl before even leaving the house. With this iron, her curls stayed all day and even had some wave left in the morning. She was so pleased that she is buying another in a larger size.

I was hesitant to try this size barrel but it turned out to be perfect! I have very fine/thin hair that doesn’t hold a curl very long. My hair held all day and then some!! The curls turned out exactly how I wanted them! Super cute and beachy. If you’re going for this look, I’d suggest curling larger sections compared to what you’d curl with a bigger iron. The heat was the perfect setting and I love that it came with a glove!

I really like Bed Head products and was excited for this wand to create tighter curls but I was disappointed that it has no temp control. Over 400 degrees is just way too hot for my hair. Unfortunately had to return it.
