Great lights, great ambiance, very happy!
Update - Had these out now for three years on my beach house and they are still going strong. The paracord I used to hang them on did fail. So I replaced it with coated stainless steel rope. Lastly, been three years and I have yet to have a bulb burn out. I don't run them all that often, maybe 45 nights per year in the nice weather, but I am very pleased with the durability!Original ReviewHung two strings in the back yard. Very sturdy lights. Plenty of bulbs. Been two months and haven't had one burn out yet. I did put up heavy para cord (double lines) and hung the lights by zip-tying them to the para cord. I put them up in a zig zag pattern over the backyard staring from the shed (power source). I ran from the shed to the corner of the house, back to a tree, and back to the other corner of the house. I used large stainless eye bolts for each tie down point. I also hooked up via a 1000 watt dimmer and a remote to control the lights. The dimmer really helps set the mood and the remote allows for east control from the porch. To provide some tension I did tie the bulb closest to the hook with a string. One of the plastic loops above the light broke but it only slid a little bit and didn't materially affect the location of the bulbs so I let it go. Had a big storm and they held up really well so far. Very pleased!UDPDATE Left the lights out all winter and not a one has been broken or burned out. Still very pleased with this lighting set!

False advertisement in regards to the box, but lights still looked nice
Beware! This is the REAL box of lights that they send you, which is very different from the box they advertise. I really did not like that in there ad, their box says that it carrys "12 spare bulbs"; when in fact it only carries 2!!Besides false advertisement/product description and picture, the lights themselves are still nice and cable seems very durable.

Mechanics special? That depends on you.
The string of lights is a great change from the two 60 watt incandescents. The lightning from above was softer and more dispersed.Three stars because 4 and 5 bulbs, respectively, didn't work on both strings received. The bulbs weren't burned out, and/or defective in an way.The problem was a result of poor assembly or quality control. (It was the holidays, and the increased demand made for a reduced supply. Haste makes waste)Some light bulbs weren't making contact with the brass tab at the bottom of the socket. The fix was simple, using a small, flathead screwdriver, I first confirmed that the string was unplugged. (Safety first) I then inserted the small flathead screwdriver into the unplugged socket, and lifted the tab ever so slightly. If the bulb doesn't want to seat in the socket, just tap the center tab once and insert the bulb. Then plug it in and be very proud of yourself for doing an excellent job.

Fantastic Pro-Grade Outdoor Lighting
We've had these lights installed on our plastic pergola since September (it's currently April), didn't remove them for winter at all (we live in the northeast and got blasted with snow and sleet this year). Each and every light is still fully functional and looking fantastic--none of the cording has discolored or cracked at all due to temps, and every single bulb is still perfectly intact. We installed these easily with plastic zip ties, but plan on getting another second set to install once we upgrade to our cedar pergola later this summer. Fantastic quality, highly recommend especially since they come with additional bulbs (that we haven't even used yet!).

Good quality worth the extra$
Good quality. Heavy cord that does not need a supporting wire for lengths up to 20ft (it is like a thick extension cord at least 3/8 in diameter) I think the paper work say 25ft unsupported. They are heavy and will sag but can be pulled tight. I used 1/2 inch metal and rubber cable supports from Lowes to anchor. They were a bit loose but did not pinch or create a sharp connection like a zip tie. First bulb starts 2ft from 3prong plug. I cut plug and hard wired into box. The wire is decent quality 3 stranded wires. Bulbs have nice warm(yellow glow) and contains extra bulbs. The every 2 ft spacing provides more than enough light over our deck and patio.

These are the nicest, sturdiest outdoor string lights I ...
These are the nicest, sturdiest outdoor string lights I have ever seen. I just recently had a party and nearly half the people that attended asked me details. I strung them between two trees to light up the cent of my yard leaving 20-25 ft free hanging. I will pass along my brother's advice because it worked so well - 12gauge solid black copper wire. Place this tight exactly where you want the lights then simply heavy duty black zip-tie them on to it. Get them. And be extra fancy and get the Woods 32555 remote.

Pretty neat product
Pretty neat product. I have only used it for making melted jolly ranchers. Very easy to do, we can't wait to make other things with the mold. The product is durable and easy to clean.
