"Never laugh at live Dragons"
I'm almost tempted to go with five stars for this collection of adventures based around the areas of Dale and of Erebor. Again, the production team, art work etc is worth 5 stars. The six stories do aim to be the basis for a coherent campaign. On first reading the book does seem to achieve this, though the connections are not as easy to make in my mind as two earlier publications: 'Tales from Wilderland' and 'Oaths of the Riddermark'.I also found that some of the actions of the characters were a bit mechanical and I would probablyhave to use this book and do some re-designing around the storylines. Finally, I find that I want another story to be a lot more Dragon-centred: the title of the collection does suggest that we should be seeing more than one dragon having a good time at the expense of the Free peoples. The final part of the collection needs a Dragon - with a straightforward pitched fight or some inspired role play by the players to get out alive! Hence the dropping of one star. [This is only my second 4 star review of a product in this line.]
