A complete waste of time and money
I buy a lot of stuff from Amazon. I've been a Prime Member since they came up with the program. I don't even buy anything from department stores without first consulting the Amazon reviews. But over the past year or so I've noticed a pattern in the reviews -- more and more of them seem to be fake.I bought this device because of all the glowing reviews. I really wanted it to work because my feet are a constant problem. I've been using PedEggs for the past couple of years and they work well, but they have to be replaced every couple of weeks and the expense adds up. They also require a lot of elbow grease but my elbows (and other parts) are not so well greased anymore so I was looking for something a little more automated. From the reviews, this looked great!Next time, I'll take a harder look at the source of the reviews. I've come to distrust all reviews from reviewers who have only one review in their review history. And, all reviewers who have just a handful of reviews but they're all from the same date. Also, the writing quality of some of the reviews seems contrived. This device was such a disappointment that I am doubtful that all these people could have honestly reviewed it positively. I couldn't get it to work for me. My sister could not. My daughter had no luck with it. My neighbor tried it and failed. How the heck are you all getting this to work? Yes, yes, we know about the "light touch" thing. The little roller keeps rolling but it just doesn't ***do*** anything. We tried both rollers, pink and blue. Nothin'.My elderly mother got it to take a tiny dusting of dead skin off but the roller clogged up quickly and no amount of brushing would get it to work again.Should I try glueing sandpaper on the roller like one of the reviewers?Maybe mine is defective? I don't know if it's worth trying to return it or not. The packaging was accidently thrown out so I doubt if they'd let me return it anyhow. If you have used this thing and it worked for you I'd love to hear from you -- feel free to comment on this. I'm really curious now and would like to know how many of these 5-star reviews were from people who honestly reviewed this based on their own experience.___________________________________________________27 Oct 2012 -- Review Update 1I finally got around to trying out another Emjoi foot buffer. A friend of mine, Ellen, had bought one at the mall a few months ago and she let me try hers. I really wanted it to work. I was so hoping that I could tell you all that the first one was defective and now I'm a believer. But hers didn't work for me! Ellen said it didn't work for her either. She had thrown it into a drawer and hadn't used it since the first disappointing try. I have yet to meet one person in real life for whom this thing works! This has me completely flummoxed! So many of you have been so kind to respond to my review so I'm a little hesitant to ask for more of your time, but if it isn't too big of an inconvenience...would you mind filming your device in action so I can see how you're getting it to work for you? I think there's a place you can add your own images to the product description or you can make a video review. If you do so, please leave me a comment so that Amazon will send me an email so I'll know when to check back. Thanks again to all those who have been so kind to help me with this! -- Pearle___________________________________________________18 November 2012 -- Review Update 2Just a quick note for those of you who have not had much luck with the Emjoi MicroPedi Buffer but also don't want to go back to PedEggs. I've found a better solution to my feet problems than the PedEgg. It's the Microplane Colossal Pedicure Rasp, Microplane Colossal Pedicure Rasp  and it sells here on Amazon for $14.87. It has a nice curved surface which makes it easier to follow foot contours and a long handle for extra reach. Since the rasp surface is larger and the handle is longer it provides more leverage and is a lot better on my arthritic shoulder/arm/hand than the PedEggs.I'm still hoping someone will make a video to show me how they get the Emjoi MicroPedi to work!

Emjoi: Micropedi: A Great Product - you can choose the coarseness - with much better results than the PedEgg or pumas stone..
The EMJOI and the R.E.M. Spring are probably the two best, "every day" beauty/health products I have ever purchased. Both are inexpensive and have paid for themselves with just a few uses. I did a lot of research and there are maybe 4 or 5 different companies that make this type of product, but what prompted me to buy Emjoi is that you have a choice in the coarseness of the rollers. The other companies syeem to provide only one coarseness.I recently purchased the Emjoi Micropedi and it surpassed my expectations. When my husband first saw a product like this advertised on TV I poo pooed it thinking it would be a waste of money and time - that there would not be enough power or friction to take care of the callouses and corns we both get on our dry feet. I am very happy to say that I was wrong. It took about 20 seconds to get the feel for it. Instead of it sanding off the dry skin right away, it took a few seconds of going over and over the spot, feeling it for smoothness before continuing. While it is a totally safe product, if you are over zealous and having fun using the product (as I did), it is possible to over-sand your foot, and nick it, causing a little bleeding. I did not use common/common sense and that's what happened to me. The next time I used it, I knew how effective it was, and what to expect, so I took my time and did not over sand my foot and everything was perfect. The Emjoi Extra Coarse (blue roller) got rid of the deep cracks on the outside of my foot as well as the calluses on the outside of my big toe. The Emjoi worked so much better than the pumas stone and the non-powered PedEgg which we had been using. Having used a walker for 6 weeks, I developed a small callous on the heel of my hand and the Emjoi smoothly took care of that, too.Changing the roller is easy peezy. You push the little button on the top right side of the roller and it pops out to the right. You pull it out, blow on it and brush it with a brush that comes with the unit, and then stick it back in narrow side first that's it. Please note that you only get one roller (the one attached) with this purchase. Other packagesusually provide 2 rollers with the initial purchase.Suggestions:Try the attached roller before buying coarserWhen deciding if you need a coarser roller, first try the one that comes with your purchase. You will probably find that it will do just fine. Originally, I was going to buy a courser roller which not only would have been too coarser, but more damaging when I did not know how well the Emjoi worked. I do not need the coarser roller.Cleaning:Don't rinse. While the instructions say you should rinse the top of the roller for 5 seconds to clean it, a friend told me to definitely NOT rinse it at all.I found that blowing both sides of the roller while it is still on the Emjoi, and using the tiny brush that is included gets a lot of the fluff off._________I love this product, it solves a major problem and it is inexpensive and easy to use.I definitely recommend the Emjoi Micropedi.

It works perfect leaving your feet smooth and soft
I bought this product after my sister did my feet with hers. It works perfect leaving your feet smooth and soft. When I received my emjoi the very tip that you twist to insert the batteries brok off. The unit still works but it does not look good. I tried to glue the part but to no avail. Manufacturer needs t o make these part more durable since the have to manipulated to open the battery compartment. Other than that I love the product and would recommend it to my friends.

Sandle ready feet in minutes!
This product is the perfect little tool to help you get beautiful feet in just a matter of a couple of minutes. The unit is easy to use, clean and maintain. The unit has just the right amount of power so that when you are using it you won't rip all the skin off of your feet. It just gently takes it all away. I recommend ordering a couple of extra refills of the roller in various course-ness just to have a variety.

Be careful placing batteries because instructions are not clear to open product
I received the MicroPedi on Monday, March 29, 2021. I was very happy that I found this product on Amazon and ordered two to give one as a gift. Today, March 31st, I followed the instructions to place batteries and because the instructions are very poorly written, I broke it before even using it (see photo attached). I want to return this broken product it but this is non-refundable. I gave the other one as a gift and was able to place batteries accordingly and didn't follow the instructions (by the way, batteries not included). I spent over $120.00 including $20.00 for a set of new rollers, very frustrating!
