CATIA Core Tools: Computer Aided Three-Dimensional Interactive Application

As a new user of CATIA I have been looking for a book that wasn't just a bunch of tutorials. I wanted a book that told me how to use the program and the basis for the commands and command structure. It turns out that this is the book. Based upon my experience you can use this book to learn how to draw without all of the tutorials that are out there in so many other books. In addition, this book includes a history of the development of the software giving a much better view of the markets it serves and can serve. Some of the more advanced applications, such as manufacturing design, are not covered in this book but for the vast majority of users I think this is the kind of book you could use.I got the Kindle version but I probably should have gotten the print version. Some of the figures in the Kindle version are not very clear and if you change (increase) the text size the figures do not get larger.

I bought this book along with other 2 for my brother as a graduation gift. He asked me for them and he loves them.

As the title indicates, this book explains most frequently used functions and interface in CATIA. If you are using CATIA and need an immediate reference book, this book may be a good place for look-up.Sadly, book does not provide any tutorial or practice, which was my original intention of purchase. However, in a long run, this book may be more valuable than any other CATIA practice book out there.

The book has color graphics. It is well organized. But no tutorials inside! I had to buy Catia V5R21 for Designers because, this book is not enough. I feel dissapointed because i paid for a tutorial, and i got a reference book.

This is an excellent book about CATIA v5.

Great Catia reference. A lot of useful information which is not usually found on typical CAD Step-by-step reference book.

I found this book the least useful of the 3 I used to learn Catia. This book also came a little wrinkled.

The book in general lacks the detail I wanted but it is a good overview of the topic.

It arrived faster than I thought and the book is in very good condition due to being used. I just loved it.

Excellent book, mainly used as a reference to CATIA. If your looking for a tutorial, this book will NOT help you. However, there are some tutorials on the author's website if you want a few tutorials to play with. I would recommend Tickoo Sham's book for tutorials and this one to refer to.With these two books at your disposal, you will be up and running with CATIA in no time.

Tja , ist zwar in der englischen Sprache verfasst......aber es ist gut das Buch ( Kindel ) die Bilder sind in einem Buch warscheinlich besser zu sehen.....aber da ich mit diesen Themen sowieso Umgang habe kein Problem.Auch für Einsteiger zu empfehlen!!!Alles wird ausführlich beschrieben!.....für mich ist der Reverse Engineering interessant......in der Version 21-22Also wer die Zeit hat sollte sich das Buch zulegen.....
