Skyway Sodo 30-inch Drop-bottom Rolling Duffel, True Red

I like the fact that the suitcases have compartments. We have used the bags (blue and red) on several trips and they hold up well. In light of the fact that we have limited storage space in our apartment, it is great that they are made of collapsible fabric.

I've only used this bag twice but both times were for a cross country trip by plane so the bag has definitely seem some rough handling. I actually had my ski boots in the bottom of this bag and my helmet shoved inside which pushed out in order to take up space in the side pocket, this bag definitely got put through some heavy use and I'm pleased to say it came out looking great! No tears, no broken zippers, etc. You can get a lot of stuff in this bag. I like that the bottom part is separate, it cuts down on feeling like your digging away in order to find something. I wound up purchasing 3 more of these bags, 2 for me, 2 for my husband, would highly recommend.

First let me say that when I received this bag I thought it was great and was just what I was looking for. This duffle bag has two main compartments, the upper and the lower for shoes, pants or long flat items etc. What separates those two compartments is a zippered lining that everyone knows if they have ever had a similar bag. If just want one big duffle bag you can just unzip this lining and roll it back and if you want two smaller compartments you zip up the lining. This zipper is held to this lining by a double stitch all the way around the lining. Once I opened the bag and inspected the inside I noticed right away that about 8 to 9 inches of the stitching was missing and the lining and zipper were separated. If I were to try to use this as a two compartment bag as it is what's left of the stitching will tear the lining and come completely apart especially with the weight of clothes on it. This is a brand new bag with the tags on it and it appears never to have been used so it appears to be a quality control issue from the manufacturer. I will be returning this bag for a replacement as I just received this bag yesterday so we'll see how well either Amazon or the manufacturer honor the manufacturer's defect warranty and after that I will update this review with that info and upgrade if necessary.

This was a great bag for me, using it for two very different types of destinations on one two-week trip - the big city and a sailing trip to different islands each day. It's very spacious, and the two separate packing areas helped my separate my city clothes from sailing trip clothes. All three of us on the trip found it to be easy-rolling and with a long-enough handle (our tallest member is 6'2"). The handles on each side made it easy to lift horizontally, which not all bags have. It is also great to store flat as both sides of this duffle come down to about 4" since it has only two wheels. Great for storage on our sailboat and at home. Two issues: it does not come with a detachable shoulder strap as the description says (it's too big to use with one anyway), and like it says, it's only water resistant. We arrived at two airports where the bag sat out in the rain and it is not waterproof so we did have some wet items. I would go for a waterproof bag if I could find one with the great attributes this has.

I like the Drop-Bottom Rolling Duffel style suitcase. I bought this primarily because of the light weight. Part of the trade off of the weight is that is really is a duffel and doesn't have any real structure to it. You can smoosh it down almost flat for storage. I found it durable and functional but in retrospect I would like a little more rigidity and structure. I anticipate using it for years to come.

Bag has lots of space. It was akward to handle since it dose not stand upright on its own. Handle could be longer and the when pull the bage would turn on it’s side. I would not buy again

Purchased for a trip to Europe this Summer. Very impressed with quality for the price.

This is a great bag. Perfect for hiking trips. Very roomy and my sticks and backpack fit in it!
