I have 18 of these smart plug/sockets and I use then all around the house to switch on lights and monitor power to things like the dishwasher and computer.Among the 18 I have bought a few have failed. Some did not work out of the box and refused to connect to my Wi-Fi, another has failed after being used for several months supplying power (250W) to my PC system. I have power-on-boot so it is handy to ask Alexa to turn on the computer and it them trundles through the five-minute+ wake up whilst I do other things. Alarmingly the failure of the power relay did not prevent the socket reporting in the app that the device was off, when in fact it was still on. If I was using this as a security device when I was away from home it would give me false confidence that the command I has remotely issued had been obeyed.My earlier glowing reviews of this product have now been dampened by this lack of reliability and potential danger. Don't leave them unattended for any period of time if connected to anything that could be potentially dangerous or costly to run if left on indefinitely.

I brought this to control my outdoor Christmas lights remotely and to monitor the energy consumption. The hardest part was paring the plug with my home router, i tried again and again using my android phone but it just wouldn't connect using the recommended app. I have eufy plugs and they were quick and easy to set up but these just wouldn't. I even switched my 5GHz band off and just went 2.4ghz and it still wouldn't work. It might be my android phone, as it worked when using the IOS app on my wife's iPhone. So once it was set up it worked well. We have set up schedules and can turn the plug off successfully using the app. I like the fact I can see how much energy is being used, I hope it is accurate, but i'll never know. It is good, just a shame the set up process isn't as straightforward as other smart plugs. I guess the difference in price, reflects the quality.

I like the fact that it claims to support 16A load and it was easy to connect to my BT Home Hub 5. Alexa piped up and told me it found a new smart switch without any prompting from me.What I don't like is the fact there is no overload protection and despite the description, this plug does foul the on/off switch on a standard switched UK wall socket.Slitinto are working on a smaller version though, let's hope they add overload protection as well.

I bought this to control the lights behind my tv as I cannot get to the plug. When looking at the list of smart plugs on the list it didn’t advertise it as working with Alexa. But it does. So glad I checked in the item description.I have a few wemo and three time the price and they are rubbish compared to this plug. Would definitely buy more.

Got this for my mums water feature. It's great. Sure it is slightly too big for our uk socket in that it interferes with the mains on/off switch. But for me it doesn't stop it working, just means it's not perfectly flush. I got this one instead of the newer smaller one as this has a higher Amp rating.

I am so pleased with this WiFi smart plug. I ordered it for our Christmas lights in the garden, so I don’t have to go out in the cold to turn them on and off. So easy to download the app and straight forward instructions. It’s the first WiFi smart plug I have brought but i will definitely be buying more for other appliances in my home. Highly recommended

This smart plug is easy to install and simple enough to setup, once it is setup it works exactly like any other smart plug I have seen, being able to be turned on and off via an assistant or through the appIt does not track power use which is a little disappointing however it makes up for that in the price of the unit.It has good range and works in a medium sized home pretty well

It is a good product. Easy to set up. Can use it for most of the divices..lighting, radio, slow cooker etc. very handy timer. I have bought different one as well. Both are good but this one is smaller and better.
