CamelBak H.A.W.G. LR 20 100oz, Black, One Size

I bought this to replace my original Hawg. The bladder is a little tougher to fill compared to the old one. I use this in my work vehicle for ice water all day while driving. It also is packed with stuff in case I ever have to leave the vehicle and survive on my own for awhile in an emergency. Sitting on the seat next to me, it has to be positioned just right or you get air when you take a sip. I understand this is not it's intended design/use for water delivery, but my old one did just fine. Other than that, I haven't had it long enough to check everything else out.

I've owned at least a dozen camelbaks. This one is designed extremely well, very sturdy, and finally has the 1" waist strap, making it an excellent hike and day pack, as well as for mtb.Camelbak covers their packs for life for a reason. There may be some QC issues here and there, but they are the best at what they do.The lumbar 100oz bag is much better than the tall ones, since it sets all the wait on your hips, reducing pack sway, and taking weight off your shoulders.Highly recommend this pack if you're in the market for a hydration pack. I purchased this along with the new Raptor 14 from Osprey. I will be returning the Osprey pack, as it doesn't even come close to this one.

High quality, great features but a little awkward with the outer flap and pocket placement.

Great upgrade from my old 10 year pocketless Camelbak... I walk with little children at parks and now have the option to fill 2 - 3 liters of water and never run out. I was happy to have plenty of room for my SLR Camera and the number of pockets to store stuff is always a must. When I go biking I like the zipper pockets in the front belt so I can play my music or answer the phone without having to take off the backpack. It's a 2019 product and Camelbak designers hit this one right on the nail, great job guys!

Nun habe ich die erste Tour hinter mir und muss die positive Bewertung korrigieren. Es ist das 2019er Modell, das nicht mehr den albernen Airfoil und die ganzen Plastikteile für die Halterung der Blase intus hat. Aber auch dieser Rucksack hat an der Rückseite eine nutzlose schwere Kunststoffplatte um den Rahmen stabil zu halten. Man kann sie sehr umständlich entnehmen, indem man sie zuerst verbiegt damit sie durch die Öffnung passt. Sie wiegt rd. 250gr. (Foto) Die Schultergurte sind jedoch nur mit ganz einfachen Nähten auf die rückseitige Folie genäht (s. Foto). Sieht man, wenn die Kunststoff-Fliese draussen ist. Kommt aus Indonesien. Qualitativ kommt er nicht im Entferntesten an die alten HAWG der ersten Generation heran. Im Alltag sitzt er gut, aber wenn man ihn voll belädt, schneiden die Kanten der Gurte in die Nackenmuskulatur. Am 3. Tag hab ich es nicht mehr ertragen und musste stoppen. Die beiden oberen Schaumfstoff-Streifen am Rücken färben ab, sie haben mir ein neues 100 Euro Shirt ruiniert. Die Reissverschlüsse sind nicht autolock, bei hohem Druck durch Vollstopfen gehen sie bei den Schiebern auf. Sie ziehen sich seitlich über die ganze Länge. Vergisst man das Schliessen bei einem Schieber, was irgendwann einmal passiert, verliert man unterwegs alles. Kann man aber abnähen. Die hintere Tasche ist offen, löst man die Karabiner kippt sie nach hinten und alles rollt heraus. Der Rucksack ist ok für Downhill Tagestouren, für den Rest kann man ihn vergessen.
