RockTapeRockBand Flex Ultra-durable Resistance Bands with Handles and Loops

I purchased the medium resistance band to assist with strengthening and stretching and use it to warm up before every workout! I was skeptical at first with the material being a cloth rather than latex but it is so much more comfortable and doesn't slide or roll up on you. The instruction booklet it comes with added new exercises to my routine that I typically would not have done on my own, i.e. - wrist/ankle stretching. It's been a game changer in recovery too.

Just got the product today. The band is great...able to stretch everything easily. Only thing I dinged the star for was the packaging. Would have liked to use the book that came with but since the packaging is so small, the book was rolled up in the box and would not unroll to look at properly. Wish they had packed it flat.

The band is awesome. I bought it because its recommended from a program, but its truly one of the most versitile pieces of equipement i have in my home gym now.

So much better than CLX bands

I had some of the latex bands previously. It was very frustrating when they snapped in the middle of my exercising. This does not seem to have the same problem. Let's take a look at how they worked out for me..WHAT IS THIS LIKE?This set is the light gray padded elastic set. That means that there is a light resistance. This is what I needed to help my body ease back into flexibility after having some physical problems to overcome. There is a book that has photos which show how to use the bands in a variety of different ways.WHAT IS THE MANUAL LIKE?First of all the manual has photos of each exercise with an explanation. It also has explanations of each set of exercises, what it does for the body and what the basics of these systems in the body are like and how they work. The manual is easy to understand and does outline all of the exercises well. I do appreciate the explanations. I also appreciate the rock tape on some of the models so that it shows how to use that as well.HOW WAS THIS TO WORK WITH?Some of the exercises in this manual require that you have a place to attach the band securely to do them. That means you have to have a loop, hook, or other place to anchor the band to do some of the exercises. If you don't that eliminates a lot of the exercises. I found that this did help me to rehabilitate my body slowly and gradually without the fear of the bands snapping.THE BOTTOM LINEThis is a nice non-breaking way of using bands for rehabilitation or gradual strength building. The manual helps to outline how to use the bands and give ideas how the body works and how the bands help.MY RATINGFour stars for this. I would like the bands to be a little wider and more substantial than they are- they are a bit narrow. However, it does work well and I am glad to have used this set.

I am very allergic to latex, so resistance bands and stretching bands were never an option for me before as they are always made with some amount of latex. I saw this band and was very hopeful. I can honestly say it blew away my expectations. First, you can use this as a low level resistance band. Attach it to a door and you can do a variety of exercises in seconds. Second, it has built in loops to give you a good grip on it to do even more exercises. Some of the positions have you hold this with your feet in the loops and pulling up like an arm curl, or over your back for an arm press. Next, you can again attach this to a door or your body to perform a number of stretches. Low level resistant held over time is perfect for stretching. I am anti-limber. I am the most inflexible person that like ever existed, but I am able to do most of these stretches and I feel them right away. There are advanced ones as well, but I obviously can't tell you about those yet, LOL! Finally, this is the softest material that still gives a good grip to it. It is comfortable for a full workout and doesn't rip and tear into your hands. Now, I do happen to think it looks really nice as well, but that is just my personal opinion and not really a judgment on the product itself. I love the black with red accents. It comes with a book to teach you basic workouts and stretches with this strap. They are basic, but still explained nicely. I happen to have several good quality apps already on my phone that have a ton more positions in them, and this band works for all of them flawlessly. (well, the basic ones that I can presently do) It folds up to like no space at all, and no hardware is needed to attach it. You can travel with it in your purse if you wanted to. I am very happy with this band. It is available in multiple resistance levels and I can promise you I will be buying those as well. Best of all, no latex!

I was trying to do pushups with it, like the little guide that came with it said I could do and it ripped immediately. I am pretty disappointed as I was expecting more from the rock tape brand
