This is my third pair purchased for my sons. These are great fins. The kids love them in the pool, ocean, or lakes. With any fins (at least according to my hubby) buy them small - so if wearing size 4 shoes, fins 1-3 work well. This has been true for both my sons.

Pros:well-made, kids get on and off easily enough (I have two 7 year olds), small enough to stick in your suitcase for holidays. fyi- i went by reviews that said item ran very big and had to return the first pairs for a larger size.Cons:we ordered 2 pairs, twice (total of 4 pairs), both times the colors were completely wrong. we ended up keeping the second order, 2 pairs, of the same color, which was neither of our choices. kept because we needed for a holiday.

These fins are fine for recreational swimming, but are not ideal for training. I really wanted the burners, but was having a hard time tracking them down in xxsmall for my 7yr swimmer. I purchased these hoping they would be an acceptable substitute. They are not. They are far too large to establish a good rhythm kick and also get in the way of each other. If you are looking for a good set of finds for the beach or the backyard pool, these are great. If you need training fins for a young swimmer, get the burners.
