Works as Expected
Don't believe the bad reviews!! I don't usually write reviews but must counterbalance the negative ones. Works as expected and does what it is supposed to do. It is not as bright as I would have liked but it does it's job of alerting clueless drivers of my existence at night. I am replacing an Cateye "Compact Safety Light" about 13-15 years old using 2 CR2032 with bulbs. This uses LED and only 1 CR2032 and gives 550 hours flashing vs about 90 hours on the old one. This one is not as bright as the old one but I will take the trade off of the much longer run time given the cost of batteries.My 87 year old mother who has a hard time using a remote control would have a hard time figuring out how to use this light. However, most people would find this light easy to use and well worth it.I just ordered a second light. That should tell you everything.

Good looking but does not work consistently
I was looking for ways to make my self more visible on those night rides. I though I could put this on my helmet or clip it on back of my jersey. From opening the box, looked like this little light fitted all that requirements. It was a little difficult to load the battery, but I got through that. Then I could not turn it on! Messed with it a bit, then it was just turned on by itself. From then, it worked ok as describe. Turned it off, and could not make it turn back on. After 10-15 minutes of frustration, I put it back in the box. Can Cateye, a reputable light maker of so many good products, make a light that reliable and simple to use?

Does not work.
The light turns itself off after a few minutes of riding on the bike. It is useless to me. I do not recommend this light.

Caveat Emptor
I bought one, 4/2019, and thought it was great.EXCEPT, the switch failed prematurely.Being somewhat addled, with the passage of time, I bought another one, 9/2021.THIS TIME, the switch failed from the get-go.Consider it carved-in-stone that I’ll never buy another one.

It’s ok.
Twelve days for delivery. Much smaller than I thought it would be. Instructions on getting the battery in is hard to follow. Inexpensive but you get what you pay for.

Dont buy, cheapo depot stuff
Doesnt even work put the battery in and it flashed once then doesnt even turn on when pressing the button. Then the button jams. Really flimsy materials. Felt like it was gona break trying to put it together. Dont waste your money on these. Buy better
