All excitement to eat Niederegger marzipan drowned out in a moment after opening the package. I was expecting to see the box that is displayed on the page but the 5 pieces of marzipan loaves were wrapped in plastic, with expiry date stamped on them and put in a plastic bag. But the bigger disappointment was the taste - the marzipan was dry, flaky and tasted more like a paste of coconut powder. Buy only to get a fraction of the taste that is fresh Niederegger marzipan.

Previously bought marzipan potatoes but they were sold out, so tried these. Niederegger marzipan is the best I've ever tasted but the chocolate is overpowering. The potatoes were better because they were pure marzipan and the flavor really comes through.

The quality seems to have remained the same over the years. I'm so glad they are not too sweet!

When fresh, Niederegger marzipan is out of this world. These bars arrived stale and dry, which sapped them of much of their flavor. Maybe take a chance if you've got to have marzipan and this is the only way to get it.

I'm a big lover of marzipan... These candy bars were okay. Marzipan could have used more flavor... Good size bar. - not too big and not too small.

Niederegger is one of the finest, if not the finest, brand of marzipan. The wonderful almond taste is not too sweet, and the dark chocolate is terrific. The bars we were shipped were quite fresh and delicious. If you haven't tried these, you ought to.

Very high quality marzipan! The loaves are the perfect size, not too much or too little. Great price for them too. They are sold individually at Adams Fairacre Farms for $5.99. Highly recommend. Be Prepared, once you eat one, you can't stop! :)
