Sango Nova Black 16-Piece Dinnerware Set, Service for 4

Picked this set up as a gift for my wife. Was very pleased to see that I could still find this set, as my wife had received some pieces as a wedding gift when we were married 10 years ago. The items themselves are heavy and durable - the items we received as a gift ten years ago are still in great condition. Plates and bowls are larger than I anticipated, and the coffee cups will hold a 10 oz cup of coffee from my keurig with no trouble, unlike other sets of this type.One of the bowls arrived with a crack right down the middle, so I reached out to the seller (wayfair). They responded first thing Monday morning and shipped me a replacement bowl. Great customer service.

I bought my initial 4 place set about three years ago, and so far they look exactly the same and haven't shown much wear despite my rather cavalier way of treating them from dishwasher to microwave. I've not noticed and caramelization as another reviewer has noticed. Apart from one accidental, self-inflicted chip on the edge of a small plate, they still look excellent. In fact, I'm buying another set which prompted this review! I'm completely satisfied with my purchase and these dishes have served me well despite the somewhat careless way I've treated them. They stand up well to microwaving and the dishwasher both. Good quality dishware is difficult to find that looks this good; definitely worth the money I paid for @ B,B & B.

I will never buy another Sango product again. This is the pattern I registered for when I got married. Within a few years they were in a sorry state and kept chipping and breaking. I ordered this set to replace the worst of the lot with plans to buy a completely different set of something else in a year or two to replace all the Sango Nova Black dishes we have.When they arrived I noticed that they were a different color. They didn't match the old set. I rechecked my order to verify that I ordered the correct thing. I thought to myself, 'whatever, I'm going to replace all of them in a year or so'. I threw away the boxes. When I placed the plates in the dishwasher they wouldn't stand up because they were huge and curved. I then compared them to the old ones. The new ones were ALOT bigger, like an inch or so in diameter. They are just a little smaller than the platter that I have. The bowls were a slightly different size too!They immediately started chipping. I am so mad that I can't return them. Evey time I load the dishwasher I curse these crappy plates.

I purchased these dishes a few months ago and when I opened them I was surprised to see how expensive looking they were. The colors are lighter inside and darker on the back which brings out the allure of these dishes. I use these dishes all the time and they haven't chipped or faded, but I only hand wash my dishes and maybe that's why I haven't had any issues. These are a lovely sophisticated set of dinnerware that will add just the right amount of class to any dinner.

These were subpar and all broke rapidly. My sister had them in blue & they were amazing, but maybe it was the lot I got.

It’s sooo pretty! I always go for Sango products because of durability and style. My last plates lasted me 7yrs. These feels like the same quality

This is a wonderful set which I first checked out in person at a local retailer. I liked that the plates were heavier than average and the big plate was also a larger size than normal. I don't have the exact measurement but it barely fits in the dishwasher or my kitchen cabinet. The pattern varies from piece to piece and looks like each is handmade. There are variety of other Sango Nova products that can be purchased separately to build a bigger set. I ordered quite a few different products and 3 of them arrived damaged. These products are made of ceramics and they will break if not securely packaged. I noticed that Amazon usually does a good job packaging but Target does not.

I ordered the plate setting (my extisting set had their name and number on the bottom). I needed additional plates and bowls. They were shipped and on the box and on the bottom of the items the correct part number was displayed.The color was correct but the size of each piece was noticably larger than the set I already owned. The plates look like serving plates, over 1/2 wider than my previous plates. My kitchen cabinet door can not close with the new plates inside. The new bowls are large enough I can fit my previous bowls inside the new bowls.WARNING! when purchasing heavy items like this the UPS return shipping charges can cost more than the refund value.I could ship it back for $49, but it cost $19.95 + $15 shipping, it would cost more than my refund to return it to the seller. Who would have guessed that a replacement set with the same name and part number would now be so large!
