It works

This is a primitive but effective method of connecting two mains three core cables together, and offers some limited resistance to splashes and a very solid mechanical hold.Provided that you wire it the right way round, with the protruding pins on the appliance side and the receding sockets on the mains supply side, safety is good. There is a decent cable clench, and the design makes it impossible for live pins ever to protrude.This is a fiddly thing to wire up, though easy to use once it is. If you're used to wiring things, it shouldn't be a problem, but it is significantly more difficult than a three pin plug, and relies on you knowing what you're doing.This is a good step up from the old style connector blocks, designed for temporary connections of low voltage devices like loud speakers, but found all too frequently with mains voltage. It isn't suitable for outdoor use.

I had borrowed an electrical planer from my son to remove a mm or so from the bottom of a sticking door. Unfortunately, I nicked the cable with the planer blade and blew the fuse while trying to achieve my objective. This product came to my rescue and effectively solved my problem before I returned the planer to my son. I was impressed with the connectors and robustness of the way the two halves of the connection fitted.

Very easy to use and wire up. It enabled me to get my electric shears back up and running without having to buy new ones.

It works as it should ! it is plastic and not rubber but it connects quite solidly.

Arrived very quickly which was good I haven’t had time to fit it yet but the quality looks good. I purchased it to put on my hedge trimmer as I cut through the lead (very easily done on this model)! This will allow me to put a length of hose pipe over the first meter to stop a re-occurrence
