Last Blu Ray Player You Will Need
I bought this product because it could play multiple region DVD's and blu ray's. The set up was very simple, and the player works extremely well. It does require the region to be changed by using a code listed by other reviewers, but switching back and forth is very simple. The only downside with this player is that it does not offer apps. Not a big deal for me as I use my PS3 for netflix and hulu. As far as just playing discs, this player is excellent, and well worth the money.

Great Bluray Player
This is a nice bluray player. Way better than I expected. The main reason I bought it was for the region free unlock feature. It works perfect too. I’ve tested some German blurays and UK dvds and even movies from Australia. All loaded fine and looked really clear too. This player makes dvds look very good. The upscaling is top notch, the dvds look like HD movies now. I’ve had other bluray players in the past, the dvds looked pretty good upscaled on them. On this Seiki though, they look amazing. There are tons of features too in the settings for video options. My only complaints are the remote feels cheap and the power cord is very short. Other than that, I would definitely recommend this player.

Okay Player!!!
Not the Greatest Player.Edit below: I bought the Seiki SR4KP1 and it was delivered from Amazon yesterday. We set it up last night and it seems to work 100% Groovy! I'm in the USA.It played my Australian "Farscape: The Peacekeeper Wars" BR and it's Bonus Features just fine.It also played my German PAL Northern Exposure DVD perfectly! In fact, I think it played it better than my now-extinct Oppo DV-981HD. I couldn't compare it to the Oppo but I think the Seiki's Upscaling looks a LOT better! There is a Programmer Code that let's you into the Region and PAL settings and you can set it up to play PAL AND American DVDs. It seems you only have to change that setting once and from then on it'll play both PAL and American DVDs forever and a day. (I've already been beach-slapped in here for doing something against the rules, so I'm not sure I can post the code here - but it's easy to find, and if I find out it's ok, Ill post it).The BR Region setting looks like you'll have to reset it whenever you play a "Different" BR Region than the one it's set to. So it's not automatic, but it's pretty easy to do and only takes a few seconds. It's amazingly LIGHT WEIGHT and I really like the Displays for Time, Chapters, et al.Edit: June 17, 2018--------I'm amending my Review Down of this Product. Over the last months I've found many annoying little bugs with the Seiki. When watching a Blu-Ray in Widescreen and then watching a Featurette, etc. on the same disc who's aspect is 4:3, the Player plays the 4:3 back as widescreen, squishing the images Vertically. Some Menus are so sluggish it is terribly frustrating. If you show the Chapter/Time/Etc Menu, you can't do anything else, like changing the Audio Track or Subtitles with the remote. With some Movies you can't change the Audio Track or the Subtitles at all except in the Main Menu... etc.I've compared all these "Features" (Bugs) with my PS4 and the PS4 doesn't have all these limitations.

Great player for any price.
This thing is wonderful. Got rid of all the "jaggies" on regular dvd's on our 80 inch TV. Much better picture with regular DVD's than my sony which cost 3 times as much. Very happy with this player.

it feels like all it has in it is a laptop bluray ...
Player is very cheap build, it feels like all it has in it is a laptop bluray drive and a Seiki Uvision Hdmi 4K up convert chip in it. Rca connection are made for cheap cables only. The bluray player is very loud. The design is so poor. You can adjust pic colors, shaperness and so on but they where not very smart about this becuase you can't see a pic when you are in setup so you can't adjust it. Pointless settings on this player, like volume adjustment? PQ is okay not great and for 79.99 I paid still not worth it. It is a 30.00 bluray player. The only thing it is good for is 4k up convert and make it a region free player but for 79.99 still not good for that price. Don't buy, it is not as good as there TV's.

Great Player, Terrible Remote
After striking out with both Sony (stopped reading disks after a couple months) and Samsung (picture kept cutting out and then stopped reading discs) I was wary of buying another Blu-Ray player. The price for this one was right and the reviews were good, so I decided to take a chance, especially since it's region-free. For the most part, it succeeds and its simple design and stripped-down functions are perfect for those who want a low-cost Blu-Ray player that just plays media and does little else. The picture and sound are excellent and it does what it needs to.Unfortunately I can't say the same for the remote. Within a week the remote stopped working and now it only seems to work sporadically. I replaced the batteries, repositioned the player and have tried everything I can think of to no avail. The remote for this thing is thin and cheap; as soon as you pick it up you'll know exactly what I mean. It's frustrating to have a player that works well with a remote that refuses to acknowledge button input. Maybe I just received a lemon but it makes me feel like I slightly wasted my money for a third time. One of these days I keep hoping I'll stumble upon a Blu-Ray player that works and this one is close. Just be warned that the remote is garbage and have a universal remote handy.

Attached to ordinary HD TV and it produced a very good picture using a blu ray disc. I cannot comment on what the 4K picture will be like but am pleased with the quality and the easy plug and play set up.
