Little Genie washer bobbin, GREEN

Seems to work fine.

My Pfaff quilt expressions machine was skipping stitches during free motion quilting. The cutting blade was also acting up. I took it in for repairs more than once with no improvement. Adding the green bobbin genie reduced my problems about 90 percent of the time. Wish I had known about this sooner.

I wanted to share because it might help for anyone having the same issue I was. I have a Juki DX7, it sews beautifully. but I’ve had an issue with bobbin case making this slipping noise that only increases with speed. It’s like a slipping knocking plastic against plastic sound. It is a drop in bobbin. Even after having the machine serviced, it still made the noise and I was assured there was nothing wrong with the machine. I didn’t have any nesting issues, but the sound was driving me crazy. This washer fixed the issue instantly. My machine is super quiet now.

Seems to work fairly well. I purchased these because my sewing machine (which hasn't gotten much use in over 20 years...thanks mom!), has begun nesting at the back of the quilts I was making. Installing this disk helped to lessen the nesting, to the point I was able to get the quilt 90% finished before the nesting took over. Beginning to think the belt may be the problem, but this helped get me much further than I have been able to in weeks. Will definitely keep these around.

My sewing machine, Janome 8900, was driving me crazy with bobbin issues. I tried cleaning the area, different brands of thread, new bobbins etc. nothing was making much of a difference. As a last resort I decided to order these knowing it wouldn't make a difference. Boy was I wrong, it made a huge difference. I simple can not believe that this solved most of the issues I was having. The bobbin no longer jumps around in the case but spins smoothly. It really is amazing how well these work. Such a simple thing to end lots of frustration when sewing.

For years I've struggled with thread shredding and snarled threads on the under side of the quilt while free motion quilting. I even purchased a new juki sewing machine and still had the same problem. After putting a bobbin genie in my bobbin the problem is resolved.

I am very new to free motion quilting. I did some research looking for helpful tools and the magic bobbin along with the supreme slider were items I saw repeatedly recommended by popular quilters. I bought both items hoping it would help me as I learn to free motion quilt.I have a Pfaff Ambition with a drop in bobbin. As I was sewing I could her my bobbin rattling around within the bobbin case. I did notice that as soon as I used the magic bobbin insert I no longer heard the rattling. So the magic bobbin washer did help steady the bobbin.As for my stitches since I am still learning they aren’t exactly the most even stitches to begin with. Some are longer and some are shorter depending on my speed and movement. I don’t see a lot of “eyelash” mistakes on the back of the quilt nor do I tend to get a lot of birds nest. Either the magic bobbin has helped with that or my skill level is slightly increasing. I plan on keeping the magic bobbin in place for all my sewing since I do feel like it steadies my bobbin.

I bought these bobbin washers several years ago but never used them. Lately I've been noticing my bobbin (in my Juki TL 2010Q) making rattling noises and binding a bit. I remembered these washers, put one in, and was excited to start sewing. Unfortunately, my bobbin wouldn't move within the case so the machine wouldn't sew at all. I decided the washers were a waste of money and tried to remove the one I'd installed. I took out the bobbin and then tried to remove the washer. I really worked at it and when the washer finally came out I found it had sprung the spring at the back of the bobbin case. So, now I have to buy a new bobbin case. Very disappointing.

I've only had a quick go with these but so far they really live up to their name. I often used to get my threads all caught up in a knot at the beginning of my work but these seem to work like a dream, a bit expensive you might think but worth their weight in gold. As I said I have only given them a little try but am so far I'm very impressed with them.

When these arrived I was disappointed to read they were only for bobbins that use cases. However, don't be put off. I have a sewing machine with a top feed bobbin and used one and it works really well. My bobbin thread no longer "nests" or tangles. It's the best thing to help your thread from snagging. Really worth the money and works wonderfully well.
