NIGHTFALL IN MIDDLE EA Analog

Disc 1 has the 2012 Remastered tracks and isn't labeled as disc 1, but has modern artwork to signify it, with 2 bonus songs at the end from 2018 (Doom/Tides of War). Disc 2 has the full, original album and has the Harvest of Sorrow track (not on Disc 1). Disc 2 uses the original artwork so that's how you'll identify it. It comes with a new artbook that is worth looking through. Credits are properly and clearly listed on the last page and tells you exactly when each track was composed/mixed. Lyrics stylized. The case folds in thirds thankfully, none of that two-page plastic nonsense that always break from cheaply made, multi-disc releases. I THINK this remaster is the same used in that now-unobtainable collection of their entire back catalog of albums, so you can now individually purchase all these remastered albums which were impossible to find for the past half decade. There are clear and obvious differences in this new mix that make you question that you're listening to a 90s album.

Nightfall was the album that redefined Blind Guardian musical direction. It combined a more progressive musical sound with Hansi's love of fantasy literature. What better way than to create an album based on Tolkein's Silmarillion. The remastered edition does a nice job of keeping the raw power and majesty of the original with a little better clarity of more subtle elements in the music.

Great Bonus Track, each side average 20 minutes, so this double LP is fill with music. The sound is amazing, i recomend a good pair of headphones.O, and NIME is one of the best Power Metal Albums of all Time

Sounds amazing! Like with imaginations this album sounds awesome the remixing brought or more clarity and definition there are some great tracks and you don't really hear albums like this anymore it's definitely worth checking out.

Love it

The media could not be loaded.  I m rewriting this review after fiddling with my turntable's tracking force. Apparently, my record player doesn't agree with this album due to the fact that my turntable's tracking force is on the light end and the record's slight warp causes skipping. However, after increasing the tracking force, the skipping stopped. This is my second purchase of this album because the first purchase was warped beyond playability. Regardless, this is an amazing album and the quality is great as long as you get a flat record. This album is a must-have for any Tolkienite or fantasy nerd. As for the music itself, it's amazing! I love the album and highly recommend it!

I'm not going to preach to choir here and say that if you like metal and/or Tolkien's work, then you should buy this album. This is a timeless masterpiece and one of my favorite albums of all time. Grandiose, ambitious, and best of all, it delivers on what it sets out to do: A heavy metal telling of some of the best moments of the Silmarillion.What I am going to say is that the remix/remaster includes new songs, and the existing ones get a very nice fine-tuning. Instruments I could barely hear before are now much more present and they really round out the songs. I loved this version and it is well worth a place in your collections.

There's a few things that I love in life which includes but is not limited to:MetalConcept albumsThe works of J.R.R. Tolkien.Somehow, Blind Guardian seemlessly bring all these together in one amazing package. There isn't a bad piece of song writing on this album and all the songs are perfectly held together with parts of The Silmarillion.What I'm basically saying is this album is a masterpiece.
