Basic Hoodie for Dogs, 20" Large, Red

The sizing guide does not take chest size into consideration. I have a medium-sized dog (according to the sizing guide), but she has a rather large chest. With that in mind, I ordered a Large figuring she could use the extra room. However, the chest region is too tight. I'm going to keep the hoodie and try to modify the chest into a V-shape to give her more room to move around in because right now she hates it. Other than that, the hoodie is made from nice, soft material and seems well made. If your dog has a larger chest, consider buying 1-2 sizes larger than expected or make the necessary adjustments yourself.Casual Canine - Perhaps include a chest measurement in addition to the neck and length to provide a more accurate sizing guide.

I was very excited about this hoodie for our blue heeler, but the sizing was not quite right for us. I read all the reviews on the various sizes, and measured him. I ended up with the large, which I think is still the best size for him, as the length was just about right, but other areas do not fit properly. The top portion was too tight around his chest/arms, and the hoodie is not at all functional (wouldn't fit over any portion of his head). The bottom of it was too loose, and hung a bit, so I don't think it would have been very feasible for him to do his business outside in it. It's very cute and the material is just like a human hoodie, but sizing is very tricky. I was easily able to get a refund, so thanks.

I bought the large for my pitbull boxer mix: neck 17-chest 29-weight 57. It was way too small. It would probably fit a dog that weighed about 30 pounds. I wonder if a stack of the wrong size got mislabeled. It came on time, is adorable and well-made so 4 stars. I have sent it back and ordered an XL.

He doesn't have any problem wearing it. I had to order a large to fit around him so it is a little long. Causes some potty problems. But if I roll it up before letting him out it stays in place very well and he doesn't get it wet. This one is stretchy enough to get in on and off fairly easily. I ordered another brand that is similar and it does not stretch at all. We could not use it.

For a large it is a little snug for a 40# dog and no way can she wear the hood.

My cocker/staffie is in love with this hoodie. He's about 52 lbs, with cocker ears, lab head, and the thin Staffie coat. He gets cold so easily and used to burrow under blankets all the time. Now he just lives in his hoodie.
