Kensington Smartsockets Surge Protector with 16' Cord and 4 USB Charging Ports (K64494NA) Black

We bought this three years ago to put in the center of a ten seat conference table. We've been very happy with it. The design and spacing of the outlets is ideal for groups. Everyone can get power with no fighting over space. The only issue is people demanding their favorite color outlet. We've seen no issues with discoloration or deterioration of the plastic. All of the prongs on the USB outlets still grip tight, same for the A/C outlets. This device has had heavy use as that conference room is booked up 4-6 hours daily. Highly recommended.

Like a lot: The long cord is rubbery and very flexible. No trying to bend it around something and fighting with the cord. The colors make sense. Can share this and easily identify who is using what plug. Actually an attractive item in a tech kind of way and the four usb slots add additional plugs for charging. Of course it doesn't charge the latest iPad with it's tiny little skinny slotted plug that is half the size of a normal USB. I did mention in my other review I'd review this item as soon as it was delivered because somehow, the first time ordered, it was returned to Amazon as undeliverable; silly since we have received 100's of items from Amazon. I ordered again immediately and it arrived promptly.

First bought one of these 6 or 7 years ago. We still use that one, but needed more outlets. This one is better than the first because it has the USB charging ports. The only thing that would make it better is a shorter cord. We have the cord wrapped around the item, which works well. But it would be nice to have a much shorter cord - maybe 2 feet. Seems sturdy and works well. Nice item.

I love my Kinsington Smart Sockets Surge Protector with 16' cord. I can put my computer table anywhere I want to. I am no longer constricted to right by the plug in. I can also use the USB ports to charge my Ipads. The color coding is great. I don't have to search through the chords to figure out which plug is for which computer. It is also very pleasing to the eye. Not an eye sore in the middle of the table. Thank you so much. What a great product for my classroom.

We are already using two of the non usb version of this surge protector in a conference room so we added this to the new high top table table in a shared work space. These units look nice and each plug has enough space around it for a bulky charger to fit.

I really like how this is laid out. The cord plugs in a circle are super handy and offer up alot of space to plug things in. The USB ports are very handy as well and also have alot of room for unusually shaped plugs.

This is actually my fourth surge protector of this brand, and my second of this style. I updated from my older model only because the first was stolen at a conference. It was years old and still worked perfectly.

I do love this surge protector but I want it in my living room where I sit quietly at night and read. Unfortunately when something is plugged into the USB port it makes this high pitched sound that drives me crazy, it’s like nails on a blackboard. I thought my first was defective so I ordered a second and it did the exact same thing.If you need quiet, I would not recommend this. However if you plan to use it somewhere there will be noise (even some quiet music would cover it up), I would recommend. I couldn’t give it more than two stars simply because I don’t think it should sound like that in any situation.
