This chair is fantastic. First, I have to comment about the shipping--it was like lightning! I ordered on Friday and received it on Saturday--the next day! With free shipping! That is incredible.The chair itself came in a very large, somewhat awkward box. It is light and easy to carry. Yes, it does require assembly--you must screw the back of the seat onto the legs. This is very simple to do--I had another person help me and it took two minutes, tops, using an electric drill. If you are by yourself and using a manual screwdriver, it might take you about ten minutes to put together. No big deal.The chair is so comfortable. The seat's padding is very thick and sturdy--it doesn't sink down when you sit on it. The back is at a very comfortable angle to rest against and also has a nice layer of padding. The seat is wide and the padding at the front is higher than in the back, which is good--it helps take pressure off your legs and eliminate them pulling on your back muscles.As an aside, I purchased this chair to replace a computer chair for my home office desk. I spend a lot of time at my desk, and the chair I had was less than comfortable, but I put up with it. However, about three months ago I was diagnosed with piriformis syndrome, a very [VERY] painful inflammatory condition of the piriformis muscle in your backside. My doctor said it was probably due to sitting so much in my old chair, because my old chair was really narrow and sort of forced my legs and hips into an unnatural and uncomfortable position. I went to physical therapy, used muscle relaxers, did stretching exercises, used a TENS unit, had cortisone injections--and still suffered from pain. I got this chair, and my pain has been largely alleviated! I am really, really happy about that. I think it's because it provides so much support and the seat is wide enough that my hips are at their natural width when sitting now.Five stars for this great chair, and at such a great price! I am seriously considering ordering one to use as an office chair at work.[And yes, I have noticed people complaining about the smell. My chair did have a bit of an odd, plasticky smell when I first got it out of the box, but after sitting in the open air for a little while the smell has largely disappeared.]

What a welcome find!!I wanted chairs lightweight enough to carry outdoors when we had company, stackable when not in use, andCOMFORTABLE to sit in.As stated I'm overweight, I really needed and wanted good chairs that would hold up long term to plus people.These are the most comfortable ones I've ever used in the 34 years of housekeeping, they are wide enough you don't get numb spots, cushioned enough my legs don't go to sleep, with enough room between the back and seat you don't get "rolls"Another plus is they are finished nicely with covered screws and strong glides and mine have an attractive beaten metal look in a gold finish, very attractive!I am a bit house proud and think they look just as nice inside as they do by the patio table,( although they are not meant to leave outside of course)the only difficulty is no screws provided or the suggested size which would have been helpful I used 6/ 1.25 for the back and 2 / .25 for the bottom rail of pad

We just received these chairs for our office this morning and they are nice chairs, the color is nice and better than expected really. Seem to be sturdy. The seat is a little hard but that may be due to the cold and newness. They do seem comfortable and roomy. HOWEVER.....the backs are not pre-drilled, not pre-assembled and did not come with any screws. That's not a big deal for us because we'll purchase the screws and assemble them but this would have been nice to know before they arrived so we could have been prepared. Other than that....it's a pretty nice chair especially for the money.

My old computer chair finally quit and I didn't want to get something with wheels. Saw this, and decided to try it. Very comfortable, and looks great. As well, it is extremely rigid and feels very strong. Even the upholstery feels tough. However, a small note is that it does not come with pilot holes in the backrest, so you will have to screw it on yourself, preferably with a drill or impact driver, or you could try screwing it in by hand if you want carpal tunnel syndrome. Funnily enough, the box that it came it was far big enough to have the chair already assembled before shipping, as the base and seat of the chair are already put together, but for the price I cannot complain. Thinking about getting another one.Another thing to note is that I didn't anticipate this model to come with the book-basket that attaches to the chairs underside, as the picture in the listing did not have one, but mine did. This may have been an error on the shipping end, however, as it also arrived with what appears to be four arm rests, which I think are for a different chair entirely, as there is no feasible way to attach them to the one I have.

I bought this chair because I have back problems and can't use a regular computer chair to sit at my desk. I primarily bought it because of the cushioning which in the picture looked very thick. When It arrived I was so pleased to see that indeed the chair cushion is thick and comfortable. I can sit now for hours if i choose to, and my back is fine. I love the dark brown color, goes with everything. A bit larger than I expected but now I can sit with my grand kids in my lap or they can both share the chair to watch videos online.Very pleased with this purchase and will buy more of these chairs in the future. The price is excellent. So much cheaper than a good computer chair, but just as comfortable if not more so. The height of the chair seat is perfect for sitting at a desk.Because the back of the chair is slightly angled, I had to purchase a cushion for my back but it slides down into the gap between chair cushion and back of chair perfectly so no slippage at all.I recommend this chair to anyone that can't sit in a regular computer chair. Or for whenever you need a spare chair, such as family gatherings or what not. This chair is well made and so sturdy I can see it still being used years from now.

This chair is amasing. I'm a big guy, so me and chairs don't get along. But with this one, not a creek or noise to be heard. And comfortable! This waterfall seatcushioning allows for even a "fat" guy like myself to get comfortable for a whole UFC or a couple of fliks. Can't speak for endurance of cushion or fabrick (only had chair 6 weeks), but it feels rugged. If you don't care about brand names and pricetags, this has got all but a few of the "ultra delux" beat. ;=)

when it arrived all, we had to do was screw in the back part, which was very easy to do and after trying it for a day or so it seems very sturdy and comfortable, would buy another when i can afford it.
