SchecterDamien Platinum 6 with Floyd Rose - Satin Black

I have 4 very different electric giutars a low end yamaha..a PRS SE wich is korean and A Gibson Explorer ( a true American Gibson) and now the Schecter Damien, wich is also Korean made. OK lets start by saying that when it comes to the PRS or Schecter Korean made guitars do NOT hesitate to take a serious look at them. I will say this though, the Schecter is by far the better of the two! I love this guitar! On looks alone it is cool but this guitar plays like a much more expensive guitar! Once I had it set up properly, wich should be done to any brand new guitar it plays fast and true. The quality of this thing is very high. Quality components and good active EMG pick ups with a incredible fit and finish overall. For the money I am very pleased. This would be hard to top for a metal/ hard rock guitar at a sub $1000.00 price tag

Just received guitar and played for a little bit. First impression is that it looks great and has a fast neck. Pickup sound great set up for thrashing but cleans still sound good. Only thing I was diapointed with was that when I pulled it out the box the high e string was broken s#!* happens. Other than that it was what I expected. Good bang for the buck guitar.

I bought this guitar brand new from guitar center about two weeks ago and it has replaced all of my other guitars.The sound is amazing and the pinch harmonics are off the charts...Best guitar for heavy metal!!!! The floyd rose on this is top notch if you know how to set them up.I play a lot of Killswitch Engage and All that Remains style of music and it is perfect for it...I did drop tune to A for a few Slipknot songs and it stayed in tune!!!! Drop A is like playing on rubber bands....I keep it in drop C mainly and haven't had any loss in tuning....Best guitar for the money!!!!

It was a nice guitar but a bit heavy for me. I have not owned a guitar with EMG pickups before and was surprised by the over whelming distortions that came out. That is the reasons I sent it back.

This thing is rock solid and sounds great! The quality is that of much more expensive guitars.

This is an awesome guitar for the money! - 18:1 Grover tuners, EMG pups, 3-ply neck, neck and body binding, and a real FR tremelo! Plays great on clean but insane is where this really shines! The neck is smooth but not thin like a 14". The matte color tends to shine if you buff it too hard and you either like the bat inlays or don't. There'll be lots of top players in this price range and plenty of them will be wielding this excellent instrument.

This guitar has the sustain close to a Les Paul, and is as fun to play is a strat for less than the price of either. I saw this guitar at Guitar Center on the used rack for $399 and after picking it up and playing it for 5 min I brought it home. Super fun to play, very comfortable. Although mine has the EMG pickups and not the sustainiac pickup, I'm still quite impressed with the tone and sustain. The whammy has a great range and seems to rarely go out of tune. South Korean made or not, this is a fun quality instrument that is damn good for the price - new or used.
