Recipe for a Perfect Christmas

This movie was so much more than I expected, it's hard to know where to start. Christine Baranski is a wonderful actress, have never seen her in anything where she was less than superb--but this movie gave a different perspective on her as someone vulnerable who has made mistakes and is doing her best to rectify them. Bobby Cannavale is charming and believable as a man drowning in day-to-day dreck (and who can't relate to that in this day and age?) while trying to live his dream and Carly Pope did a good job, although I thought she could have given her character a little more depth. The storyline is fairly simple, but it all makes for a really feel good experience, and one to be enjoyed over and over again through the years. Bravo Lifetime!

Love this movie, but was disappointed that it was not in English.It wasn't clear if it was going to in European format.

This is a movie that could have taken place at any time; it had little bearing on the holiday.The problem with this movie is the casting; Christine Baranski is way too good. If we're supposed to believe, and side with, her poor put-upon daughter (Carly Pope), her mother is a monster. Unfortunately, it's the daughter who's a monster and a total drag, while her mom is the life of any party. Love watching Baranski in almost anything, but I had to put up with a lot to enjoy her in this venue. Carly Pope drains every scene she's in. Bobby Cannavale's part could have been played by anyone and it wouldn't have mattered in the least. The only thing that holds this movie together is Christine Baranski (and she gets to sing too!). This was like watching a barely fleshed-out sitcom rerun.Otherwise.....didn't mind watching it once, but it's not something to add to my Christmas collection.

I watched this movie on Lifetime TV and started to look for the Movie and happy to have found it

Love this movie and it is not shown on any of the channels at Christmas any more. But thanks to Amazon I now can watch it whenever I need a pick me up.

I've seen this movie and loved it. Unfortunately, I never received this dvd in the mail. Someone stole it. Seriously bummed!
