Pioneer Ultra Compact All Multi Region Code Free DVD Player Divx with USB - Black DV 2242

I got this for my son for Christmas, and it works great! The plug is a bit different than what I am used to, but that's because it can be pretty much be used any where. With my husband being in the service; it's a good thing too. I did notice that at first when I hooked this DVD player up to my son's TV, the TV showed the word "Pioneer" flipping over and over. So I then played a DVD, and it stopped!

after 3 months of use it makes a lot of noise

Works as expected. The only issue is it is loud, but once the movie starts playing, it really isn't noticeable.

So far the recorder/player is working excellent! Very compact but seems very efficient.

usb was in the front no good

awesome wonderful best dvd player I have ever seen in my life remembers where the dvd left off even if you turned off dvd player and back on and even if you changed dvds and then put the last one in you where watching it remembers and goes right back to that point awesome.

Absolutely shocking how bad this unit is. The instruction booklet is poor and I can't even see the screen to set things up as it's constantly flicking and showing everything in 'double' (imagine having double vision). There's an adapter which doesn't even fit snugly. Why is there an adapter? Why doesn't it have the right plug? I'm returning it for a refund immediately. Not worth your money.

Works as expected. Only purchased to watch out of region DVDs season and it works for that.

All is ok

Tried to play a German DVD. The description claims it is multi-national and handles PAL <-> NTSC. Picture displayed in a strange fuzzy black and white, not colour, and displayed one third lower so there was a black band across the top and almost all but the very top of the sub-titles were below the bottom of the screen. Totally USELESS! However thanks to Amazon's excellent return policy I got my money back.

Great price , works perfect. Just what I needed. The remote even came with batteries so it was a plus. This is not top quality but I just wanted it for an old tv to play workout dvd's.

Great product. Price point was amazing. Arrived on time. Easy to install and operate. Performs to standard. I have since purchase other Pioneer product.
