Maistic Kitchen Scourer/Sponge Plastic Free, 100 g

Possibly a great plastic free item, but why not post it in a paper envelope? Why post it out to me in a plastic one? Defeats the whole point of purchasing this item with the intention of less plastic wastage. Seriously concidering returning this to them.

I love what this sponge is trying to do. I bought mine 3 months ago and I don't have a dishwasher so this sponge has been used day in day out over the last 3 months. I am sure I would have used maybe 6 plastic sponges at this stage so I would say it has lasted very well. My only annoyance is that the sponge is slightly too big and if it was sized the same as the standard plastic sponges it would be much better. I did eventually trim it down to size but this obviously ruined the stitches. Overall I very happy with the product and I am buying it again for what it represents for the removal of plastic.

glad to be plastic free but these sponges start off too ridged to use effectively then they start to fall apart quite quickly. I suppose I would have used multiple plastic sponges in the time I used one of these so it's still hopefully saving the planet

The cellulose sponge works great but I had to detached the scrubbing part because it was so hard that I couldn’t wash anything except flat surfaces like a big plates.

We've been using this scourer sponge for just over a month now, cleaning regularly with bicarb and hot water as instructed. There are a couple of nics which have come away from the edges with washing knives and grill racks, but the durability is very good. Before we used this, we were using plastic made sponges, and would have easily used 2-3 of them in the time we've been using this one. This is still going strong, when it becomes more worn out, we will use these again.

I really like this product! They work just as well as a conventional plastic sponge, but with the benefit that they are A) reusable and B) completely compostable! They can be washed in a washing machine and reused (saving the use of multiple single use sponges) and when they have finally worn through (which takes quite a while!) you can pop them in the compost bin! I've bought and used these before - definitely won't be changing that any time soon!

Fell apart after a few uses and difficult to mould as it’s very firm

Was trying to find a good eco-friendly kitchen scourer. Sadly this works well at first but quite rapidly disintegrates. We have had 2 - the last one lasted less than a week before becoming hopeless.
