Excellent
I bought this nailer in order to install 100m of feather edge fencing using posts rails and boards i.e. not panels. 50mm nails worked fine through 7/8 boards and into 35mm thick rails. The finished job is firm and attractive. I am not a professional fencer, but one came to help me at one point and was very impressed with the gun, so much so he keeps borrowing it off me.

I bought this reconditioned nail gun for a great price. The gun is in perfect condition and works well. I have used a good range of the nails available and it fires them all flush or just below flush. This has been a great buy for me.

Brilliant tool...Only problem is price of the angled nails...given the same choice I would not buy angled machine again...as not really needed for most jobs

useless tool
Bought this nailer about a year ago in a deal.it was brand new but did not use.Today I found that really needed it and low and behold plugged it in put in the nails and guess what it would not work, not a dicky bird tried everything piece of junk.it is brand new has not even had a nail in it.so I will not be purchasing anything with the tacwise name on it cant even take it back.so its going into the bin.thanks tacwise you are stars yeah right.box is quite good.

A handy tool
I am a domestic carpenter, and have used the Tacwise 500EL for four years which is fantastic for the abuse it gets! Overall its a handy tool as long as you know its limitations,ie. it wont nail 50mm nails very well unless the wood is very soft,it does leave a mark in soft woods and is a bit tricky to nail through the tongue on T&G panel. On the plus side the nails are cheap, its nails are galvanised its simple to use and is a great cost effective labour saving tool with no compressor!

nailgun
have used it extensively since i bought and have had only one jam you have to put slight pressure on the back to sink nails fully but no problem would recommend this to anybody

The best power tool I have!!
Brilliant tool if you have got loads of nailing to do; wish I'd baught one years ago. Its easy to load and drives the nails very well. Even 2" into quite hard wood and chipboard were no problem. You need to apply quite a bit of pressure to the back of the gun when using long nails or working with hard woods or the heads of the nails will not sit flush. There is occasional denting to softer woods from the safety shoe but nothing serious. The nails (or rather, pins) are only 18 gauge but seem to be pretty strong and hold very well.
