Looks great and is perfect size!
I see many reviews saying this releases too much tannins, but the information card on the product and before you buy say to submerge it beforehand. So I let it soak in hot water for 24 hours, changing the water every time I saw it dark and filing it back with hot water. I then rinsed it for a good minute and put it in. Doesn’t float, released some tannins (which is to be expected) but not as much as it would have had I immediately put it in or not soaked it for at least 24 hours. It looks beautiful, my betta loves it, and I’m now going to buy another one for my other betta because his is smaller and not as nice! Don’t listen to the comments saying it’s not for fish tanks lol. If you soak it enough, it’s perfect.

Nice!
Very pretty and sizeable (medium) piece of wood. Takes up quite a bit of real estate in my 40 gallon terrarium.

Beautiful piece of wood! Boiled for 30min to release tannins and rinsed in cold water. Looks great in my tank.

Good quality wood.
I bought 3 medium ones and 1 large ones... honestly I have never used the smaller ones. All three were so different and I didnt find a good spot for them in my two tanks... one of the three honestly was pretty ugly looking but the wood is very good quality and each piece is unique. The large one now... is awesome. Every order is unique so I dont know what yours will look like but mine was the centerpiece of my tank! Very awesome. Only complaint...? Is it is soo large it's hard to soak and these things do bleed a lot. I had to soak it in a bathtub because it doesnt fit in a 5 gallon bucket. If I knew the quality of the product ahead of time... I would have been fine paying extra for it. 5 stars for the large one... 4 stars for the medium onesIt is the wood dead center of my 75g tank

Just as Advertised!
Just as advertised! As you can see from my photo, the medium size Mopani Wood I received is over 12 inches long by over 5 inches. It obviously does not look like pic but that is part of the beauty of it, as it is a real piece of wood and each piece will be unique. I am very happy with how mine looks and happy with its size as it will go in a 30 gallon fish tank.I have been soaking it in a 5 gallon bucket along with a small size piece of Mopani wood and 4 pieces of Cholla wood. It has taken about 4 changes of water for the wood to slow down in leaching tannins. No worries as this is to be expected with real wood as opposed to fake plastic. Plus, the brown water was delicious for my plants (no wasted water :)(If tannins do leak in your aquarium, it is actually fine. Tannins will not harm your fish and there may even be some health benefits. With weekly water changes and some patience, the wood will run out of tannins.)I bought Mopani Wood, Medium, 10 to 12-Inch in June 2015 for $8.71

Nice real wood, color NOT true to online picture
I purchased this new wood to help set up an amazonian fresh water aquarium for our living room. The wood that came with the tank was a dark walnut to mahogany color and I was hoping to at least match the tone of that.... This "Mopani Wood" arrived and was BRIGHT orange in color! The pictures on Amazon were much more muted and subtle than what actually showed up! The back side of these pieces are almost black in color and also stand out (not quite what I was going for).... At least they are cool shapes but now I am trying to cover them with plants to hide the garish color!

Pretty much what you would expect.
I liked this piece of mopani wood. It stained the water dark after 6 hours of boiling in between soaking for days, but this was expected. I did get a white fungal bloom. I don't think this caused any harm to my fish, but ever since then my neon tetras have an odd milky growth on them, almost ich-like but ich would have killed them off by now. I don't blame the manufacturer or wood for this, but I cannot rule the wood out as the source either. My anubias nana and java fern all took root very easily and are now happily anchored. It looks very natural in the tank and after a month and a half of it being in the tank the staining is not very evident unless I go an extended period of time without changing the water. This is fine though since tannins are apparently good for the fish. The reason for the 4 stars is because the piece I received was very plain; it was pretty much a straight 10" piece of wood that had been split in half. This is very different from what I was expecting from the interesting shape of the pictured piece.

Perfect size and my Pleco loves it!
This was delivered in one piece and perfect shape & size for my 32 gallon bioCube tank. Great price for this, I was so happy. I soaked in a bucket for 5 days, changing the water a couple times a day and when I put in tank I had no discoloration of my tank water. I did lower the PH, so can't use in my African Cichlid peacock tank, but Plecostomus loves it in my smaller 32 gallon tank.

Great piece of wood.
Love this piece of wood. Just the right size and it sank to the bottom of the tank right away. The colours are fantastic and it didn’t put too many tannins in the water.

Great piece of driftwood!
I am very happy with the very shapely piece of driftwood I received. All three photos are of the same piece. There are so many possibilities. (The square tile is 9”x9”.) 😁👍🏼
