They give the bread a very nice shape. It is easy to remove the bread ...
I have been using these 3-4 times a week for 75% hydration no-knead bread. At he beginning I used all-purpose flour to dust them and the dough stuck to the basket quite often. I have read somewhere that dusting them with a little rice flour first might help. I just grind some rice (any kind I have at home) and dust the baskets with rice flour first, then a little more all-purpose flour. Ever since I started using rice flour my bread have never stuck to the basket. They give the bread a very nice shape. It is easy to remove the bread without ruining the air bubbles in it.The baskets I ordered from BetterJonny were well made. I did have to trim off some splinters but it did not really bother me. I have never had splinters in my bread and I have made more than 100 breads since I got these bannetons.Inside dimensions are: on the top: 5 1/4" x 9" on the bottom: 3 1/4 x 7 1/4" and it is 2 3/4" deep inside. The dimensions in the description are outside measurements at the widest part.I can comfortably put 1.5 lb dough in the baskets, that is just perfect for my Romertopf 99140 clay baker.

Just ordered a second one
Good, especially for the price (I purchased it used from Amazon Warehouse Deals). It did not have any problem releasing the dough even on the first use (I misted the insides of the banneton with water, then coated them with flour).

not as well made as I'd hoped
Not as well made as other bannetons I have. There was a large chunk missing inside, there is splintering, and the staples are rusted. I gave 3 stars because it at least has a good, even shape and doesn't have a horrible odor like the last banneton I ordered. Unfortunately, I need to place a dishcloth between the bread and the banneton because of splintering, I'm afraid small bits of the product would stick to the bread dough.

Works good for 1 lb loaf but it's best to use with standard bread recipes. I found out the hard way that no knead is way too high hydration and sticks to basket. Otherwise, very good

Great Brotform
I used this Brotform to raise my sour dough crusty bread. It comes out perfectly with the lines indented when tipped out to bake. Be sure not to use these for baking as they will catch fire. These are used only for raising bread.

Other than that I'm sure it was fine.
It's much smaller than expected. Only about 9" not really 10" and it came back saying it had been inspected and repackaged which I wasn't too keen on. I'll be sending it back to get something bigger. Other than that I'm sure it was fine.

it is a bit smaller than I expected. I usually make bigger loaves of bread, but cannot find a larger banneton

Bought 3 of these for my son who bakes 30-40 loaves of bread each week to sell at a local Farmer's Market. He reports that they are working very well for his operation.
