It's a Christmas tradition
The hard part is to save it during those few days before Christmas. Every year, I buy one for myself and one as a gift for my brother. This year, he told me that he had polished it off in early December, so that on Christmas he helped me eat mine.It's sweet, not at all boozy. It doesn't have that saccharin aftertaste that sugar-free desserts often exhibit.Oh...and it comes in a cardboard box; you don't have to pay for a tin you don't need.

Not as good as my grandfather's recipe, but the best non-homemade fruitcake I have ever had. Way better than Claxton or other brands, and its no sugar added. Admittedly the 1st time I have had fruit cake in 4 yrs....that was the last Christmas before I developed an allergy to sugar. Definitely will make you gassy if you eat much!

Great fruitcake for diabetic
I have bought this before and Swiss Colony always make a great tasty product even without the tons of sugar. I am so happy to have found this again. Will definitely buy again. So tasty and satisfying.

Doesn't Raise My Blood Sugar
During the holidays, I get a craving for fruit cake; however, I have to abstain, as being a diabetic, it causes my blood sugar to soar. I tried this cake and was amazed that while it has candied fruit, my blood sugar didn't soar. I simply took my normal amount of medication and my blood sugar was fine. It tastes pretty good too. Not as good as my auntie's whiskey-soaked fruit cake, but it doesn't make my blood sugar soar and then later plummet like that cake either. I don't remember it being any more pricey than a regular fruit cake, so that's also a plus.

Cake was dry not fresh
Tried to eat it but it was too dry. It did look good.

Sweet enough
Met my expectation of a sugarless product. Fill fruit and nut flavor was just sweet enough to enjoy a once a year treat. It is a bit lighter and drier than the heavy traditional fruitcake. I would buy it again.
