Fantastic Portable Hammock!
This hammock is exactly as described and I love it! Set up is very easy, maybe takes 5 minutes to snap all of the pieces into place. To make set-up easier, go ahead and slide the hammock onto the bars that hold it--this makes it easier to just snap the pieces in place with the hammock already on it instead of wrestling with the fabric or a tighter hold later; break it down the same way, with the two bars holding the hammock still attached to the fabric.Have used this hammock for the past few weeks now--in the yard, on the dock, on the porch, and on the beach.Folded away in the bag, it is about the size and weight of a camp chair (maybe a little bit heavier, but not a burden).I will agree with a previous reviewer in that it is more of a "tall cot" than the traditional swinging hammock, but it is still incredibly comfortable--it doesn't swing because instead of a point of fabric on each end, the fabric runs the length of the bars at the top.The hammock is a comfortable length, but is a little narrow; if you're looking for the type of hammock that folds you in (like ENO or other cloth hammocks), then this is not the hammock for you. But, if you're looking for an easy way to take a hammock everywhere with you and don't have access to trees or tie-up points, then you will definitely enjoy this hammock.Base seems very strong, have had no issues with uneasy creaking or fabric weakness.Overall, I absolutely love this hammock--very comfortable, easy to set-up, and durable (and fast shipping!)!

Not quite what I expected but still great!
This is of good quality, it's sturdy, and comfortable. I go camping several times a year and when I read the description I thought it would be ideal to pack up and take with me. It is definitely possible to do that, however, it does not disassemble as easy as I expected. It is very light weight and easily fits into its carrying case but it requires a bit of elbow grease to take it a part and a little finagling to put it together. I will also say that it stays assembled in my backyard most of the time and has withstood all kinds of weather. All in all, it's a great product and well worth the money. Just be prepared to spend a few minutes assembling and disassembling it.

Sized for skinny people
I bought this for my screen porch, where I love to sleep in the summer. I wanted something with a small footprint and this has that. The frame went together fairly easily, though more explicit instructions would have been nice. The "bed" is really that, hardly a hammock, and very narrow ... my sleeping bag overflowed and I was wary about shifting to sleep on my side for fear of falling off. I ended-up buying an inexpensive cotton hammock and replacing the original with that. which made this not such a great deal. It's also heavier than I would be comfortable carrying on a hike overnight

Not built for Baby Huey
This would be good for infrequent camping trips, but it is not something you want to put together and leave in your backyard. It was easy enough to put together and my wife totally enjoyed using it. But after about 6 months the canvas sort of dried up. Then one day her 250lb son sat on it and it just ripped apart. Sure, the kid could use to lose some weight, but he's a sweet kid and he was devastated with what he did to his mom's hammock. He wanted me to take the blame but I told him he'd have to just to man up. Hell, the last thing I need is for his mom to start ragging on me incessantly about how I bought her a cheap hammock that couldn't even hold her little baby boy (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baby_Huey).Anyway, he took the blame but I still have to find her another hammock.

It's ok.
Our yard was tiny and I wanted something easy to set up that didn't take up a lot of room. Everything was great besides the one I received had clearly been used before that someone else had sent back. After it was put together you could see the bars that were badly bent (didn't sit flat on the ground) and the bottom bars were filled with scratches. I packed it back up and sent it back without issues.

not quite what I'd hoped for
It is as advertised easy to snap together, portable & lightweight. It'd be good for taking camping as long as you are rather slender. This is not so much a hammock as a tall cot. A rather narrow one at that. I think I'll keep the stand but add a more sturdy feeling hammock to it and thus get closer to what I wanted. for an easy assembly stand the price is great. If you were dreaming of a soft place to snuggle down and read or nap for hours perhaps not so much.

I ordered two. One bar was bent on the second one I assembled. Assembly was very simple ( bent one needed a little "encouragement".) I felt it would support my 182 pounds. My 6'3" son fit just right length wise. Everyone loves them except my boyfriend who exceeds the weight limit by about 10 pounds. And, I agree it is a bit closer to a cot than a hammocks but it serves the purpose.

Very Heavy , Very difficult to Assemble.
I bought this for portability. It fails on a number of points. 1. Very heavy & I'm a strong guy. 2. Very hard to assemble, the heavy tubes (likely to rust cheap coating) go together OK (after you decipher the terrible directions) BUT it's nearly impossible to get the hammock material on the tubing & then make the final assembly together. It took 2 strong men to manipulate the final assembly even with moving the material down over the side pieces then putting on the "top or U shaped end portions" & then fighting to slide the material back up & around the U Shape end to functional status. That said it's OK in terms of comfort, but the material is non-breathing so hot days you'll sweat & lie in it. It's too bad if they had put just a little more thought into the product it would be a home run. No doubt somebody will & we will see them on every beach. Mines being returned. Very disappointed.

Long in length a little small in width, only holds 220 lbs. Ideal for single person. I love it! It's perfect for me. Thanks! :)
