Looks and performs very similar to Pentek RFC 20BB Filter. Fit my Pentek 20 BB filter housing without any problems. I previously used a Pentek filter and I have not noticed any appreciable difference in water flow or water quality since installing the Tier 1 Replacement Filter. Since I use this as a whole house prefilter my main concern is how much sediment is filtered out and I will not be able to evaluate that until I ultimately change out this filter at the end of its life cycle and see how much sediment has collected in my filter housing but so far I am pleased with this cost effective alternative.

I usually buy the Pentek RFC20-BB Carbon Filter for sediment and the rotten egg smell (Hydrogen sulfide) in my water. This is sold as an equal to the Pentek, but it is far from it. The Pentek lasts about 6 weeks for odor control with my water, this only lasted 2 days. Not even close. I'm sure it is okay for sediment but if you are looking for order and taste control don't waste your money, spend the extra for the Pentek.

This was much less expensive than the factory Pentek replacement filter and doesn’t remove the chlorine smell like the Pentek brand does. Going back to Pentek now.

I change my filter every 6 months. Every time I pull it out its orange. I guess its doing its job. I am using this as a whole house filter before my water softener.

Can't guve it 5 stars brcause I haven't actually used it. Seems to be a perfect replacement and much more reasonably priced.

Replacement filter for my refrigerator... super easy to install and Ware tastes great!

After inserting the filter, the water started smelling again shortly after.
