I just got this Radio yesterday after a long wait....over one (1) month. However, I really love this little radio.I was a bit confused at first because I charged it overnight, and in the morning, it would not work. I turned on the radio, but got nothing. I thought it was defective, and I was going to ask for a refund.But then I noticed the Battery Compartment, and I decided to try it with the three (3) AAA batteries installed. Then it worked. So, I was still going to return it because I already have plenty of radios that work on Battery Power.However, you need to understand that on the Bottom of this Radio, there is a switch to change it from AAA Battery Power to Lithium-Ion Battery. It came preset to AAA Battery....why I do not know. So, this thing actually works great on both power sources. This is great because I can use the AAA Battery Power while the Internal Power Bank is being charged.It can also work on solar power, but the instructions are pretty clear that Solar Power is only intended to keep the Lithium-Ion Battery from dissipating faster. Solar will not likely be enough to power it or fully charge it as well. That is why it has a Hand-Crank to manually charge the radio.So many options to keep power on, you have to love it. Great product, guys...thanks for developing this little gem, at an affordable price on top of that!

The Radio has great sound quality and reception, the LED Flashlight is super bright and the LED Lamp has a nice range with a decent bright level.Charging things like a Cell phone using it is a little difficult because you have to Crank it while the phone or whatever is plugged into it and doesn't always work, the battery lasts a long time when charged overall charging it using the Solar Panel is much more efficient and lasts longer than cranking it. But overall it's a great item and I'm glad I bought it, now I need to get a Solar power bank and we'll really be cooking!

I brought this item for emergency purposes, so my experience with it is limited. I only used the it once to ensure it works.1. It’s lightweight and compact, which is a big plus in any emergency situations2. Reception was decent. Radio was clear enough.3. Crank feature works. You must flip the switch after cranking for it to work.Overall, decent product. Good purchase. If you can catch it on sale even better.

Update: Bought 3 in December 2019 for my daughter’s and my emergency kits. One is already unusable and stopped working. Tried solar charging, cranking and battery replacement. Nothing happened. Lights and radio dead. It’s now just a red-colored paperweight. Too bad, I really like the functionality of this one.I bought this to complete my emergency preparedness kit. It’s wireless, portable and affordable. Excellent item for the function. It’s a must have during natural disasters. Since it’s solar charged, it eliminates the need to replace the batteries often. I have one in the car and one at home. I intend to buy more to give as Christmas gifts.

Very pleased. Item as shown. All features work better than expected. AM/FM/Weather reception better than average for a radio of that price point. Clarity and loudness a cut above. Flashlight brighter than expected. Reading light a great little feature. Alarm loud and annoying - so I guess that's good. Power wind up and internal batteries appear to be working fine. Features not observed are solar charging and USB connection. Nice small size.Being overly critical only cons are all plastic construction makes you wonder about it durability - especially power crank. Controls small and tight to turn. Overall a great deal.....I would definitely buy another - in fact, I just might.

I got this after losing power in a tornado and the data failed on our phones, without power for our radio, we couldn't track the tornado's path in real time. I went to try this out as soon as I received it. I cranked charged the solenoid for a full min (as instructed to do before first charging, to not damage dynamo or battery). I was expecting to be able to tune the radio for a couple minutes (the instructions state 6 min use for every 1 min crank charged). No cigar. I thought it was defective. I used a cable and fully charged it. It works great. I would plan to crank charged it for 5 min for every 20-30 min of use. To keep the radio's antenna fully charged. I've only had it for a month, and it worked GREAT during a really bad T-storm with hail. The storm again affected our phone's Wi-Fi data, but not this radio's reception. We had strong weather broadcasts for the full 20 min duration of the worst of the storm. It continues to broadcast while cranking. Highly recommend, but again, I haven't had it that long, so I don't yet know how use/battery level affects reception, nor do I know how quickly the battery discharges when using any of the light features. We have about 8 farm lanterns I keep prepped, I seal the wicks with press n seal so the oil doesn't evaporate or rot the wick. Worked great to give to neighbors to use their bathrooms with some precious light. I can say this radio's light motion activation works perfectly! On its side, that one light lit up our entire living room.~ Ana

I really love this radio! The only reason it's four stars instead of five is that the reading light doesn't come on when I lift the solar panel. Right off the bat, I know I face the hassle of a return, and then I can wait yet another few days for a replacement. It's frustrating. However, the rest of the radio is fantastic. The front light is bright LED. The radio picks up stations well, including the weather band. The best feature, though, has got to be the weight. You barely notice it in your pack. So, I have no guilt throwing this in my bug out bag. I will probably grab a second one for the camper. They're just that convenient and small in both profile and weight. Definitely a good buy.

I am working on having my family prepared for emergencies as well as camping/hiking/fishing and this was a must have in the list. Didn’t think I would have to use it so soon however our area had a nasty storm that knocked out power for hours, then intermittently for the day and having this radio and power bank made us all feel better. Works great so far. Charged my iPhone and was able to listen to local news and not be in the dark. Easy to use, with multiple ways to power device.. solar, hand crank, batteries. Small and lite enough to put in purse or backpack. Overall super happy so far with purchase!

Its hard to find a channel ( maybe because i was in the woods haha) but once you have one, it works great. The sound is good.. small size.. flashlight. Perfect for camping.

I'd have to say I really like this radio for what it is.It's compact size and features are just right to take anywhere.It seems to be sturdy and well built,easily capable of taking a few hard knocks.At first glance it does look toy-like,but it works well and has character that will grow on you.The radio comes with a short 1.5 ft. charge cable and a lanyard is attached to the base.The speaker sounds pretty good for its size and volume,but don't expect movie theatre Dolby precision on this one.My only concern is the placement of the small battery switch at the bottom of the unit,which too me seems like it is in the perfect place to get beat-up.All things considered,not bad for the money,and possibly would make a great gift idea.

I was a bit skeptical when buying it, but it's actually pretty good.Decently loud, all working parts. No complaints. Its lightweight and decently small.I am curious to know how long the battery lasts and how powerful the crank is - how many turns are needed to power it up.For now, its fully charged, so Ill do one test at a time

The company that sells this is really good. I received this product and the radio didn't work. I complained and I got a new one in about a day, and it works great. It is hard to rate the battery life as I just received this. I took a chance and rated it a 4 out of 5.
