Simple and perfect
I seldom write reviews, but this product deserves a glaring review. It works perfectly out of the box with minimal configuration. I can't notice any drop in the speed of the wireless network after installation. Unlike other products, it extends seamlessly your wireless network, so you don't need to connect your computers to either the original network or the extended network.I haven't tested in detail, but it looks like my devices connect to whichever antenna is closer to them, so when I move around the house I always have perfect signal.

Linksys missed the mark with this extender
Returned - it died after a few hours of use. Had purchased to replace the same model that failed shortly after warranty expired. When the new one failed, it locked up my wifi network causing me to have to reset multiple times. Replaced with the 'other brand' with the two external antennae, and it has been working flawlessly with better area coverage and signal strength. Would not buy this item again, even though I have normally been pleased with Linksys products. Thanks to Amazon for their quick and solid return policy, one of the reasons I shop here often.

Lowers signal strength.
Ok, so I got this yesterday and spent several hours last night trying to get it to work. Now mind you, I'm really good at setup and computer electronics, so I do know what I'm doing. I have the Linksys E3200 router, so I thought these two would work perfect together. Lesson 1:, do not attempt to set it up using the install disk on a laptop or PC that is running Vista. Install will not complete. After a hour or so of trying to figure out why, gave up and tried on a newer PC running windows 10. Setup with install disk worked. I also did a manual setup a few times in between.Lesson 2: Once set up, I was expecting this device to repeat my routers signals at full signal strength. but it does not. Using my android tablet, I checked. While standing next to my router I get a signal strength of 150Mbps which is very strong. When I moved to the other side of the house which is about 40ft, signal strength drops to 120Mpbs which is not bad, but my goal was to boost signal for backyard area. now, install this device and it droped signal strength to 72Mbps which I think is its max output.

Not enough power for concrete houses.
It works ok. My house is made out concrete and that diminish the range. It would be nice that the device had more range to cover the blind spots in my house.

The equipment is good, works well and was easy to set up
Yes. The equipment is good, works well and was easy to set up. The app that allows you to manage devices is less than desired. That needs some serious work but great concept.

Pretty simple to connect but one trick you might want to look for. When you first plug it in, make sure the window that pops up for connection is the window from the extender. I am using windows 8 and it would prompt a window for connection before the default window from the extender would come up, 'Works great and I get full bars from a game room over 100 feet away. Does not work good through metal or tin walls.

It does extend your Wi-Fi service, give it a try.
We live out of town and getting Wi-Fi to the rest of the house has been a problem, we decided to change our internet carrier, but found out that our new service was the same as we had so we keep the old one.I did go out and get a new Smart Wi-Fi Router and was told that it should cover our whole house, well our internet service did improve but still poor Wi-Fi service to the other side of the house. I did some research and found out that Linksys made a Wi-Fi Range Extender, I ordered the Extender yesterday and did the 2 day shipping since I am a Prime member. The Extender arrived this morning and I followed the Quick Installation Guide, I did need to move the Extender around just once so that I got a really strong signal to my laptop and also my cell phone as my carrier service for my cell phone is sometimes weak, but with the Extender, I am now able to make Wi-Fi calls.I would tell anyone that needs to improve their Wi-Fi service in their house or office to try the "Linksys N600 Dual Band Wireless Range Extender".

Works Great, simple to use.
WE ADDED THIS INTO OUR HOME AFTER TRYING ANOTHER BRAND, THE OTHER BRAND WOULDN'T CONNECT WITH MY LINSYS ROUTER EVEN THOUGH THE DIRECTIONS CLEARLY STATED THAT IT WOULD. I CALLED THE INFORMATION NUMBER ON BRAND X AND THEY WANTED TO SELL ME $$$$ SERVICES.. I RETURNED BRAND X AND ORDERD THIS EXTENDER. I ONLY HAD TO PLUG IT IN NEAR THE ROUTER UNTIL IT LINKED IN, THEM I LOVED IT TO THE LOCATION WHERE I NEEDED IT. NOW MY INTERNET GOES DOWN MY STAIRS AND INTO THE BEDROOMS.
