Perfect for catching my chickens when needed
We use this to catch our chickens as needed if we need. To inspect them ect. Works great.

Looks better than it is.
They put a metal ring on I guess to be able to attach it to your jacket, but they also used that to connect the net mesh at the handle end together. Maybe I got a dud, but the mesh is also cut close to that ring and although not all the way through, it doesn't look like it will last long until it breaks. So first I took the mesh out of the ring and zip tied the 3 corners together & put the zip through the ring. That way the mesh isn't pulled & rubbed by the ring & the zip lets it flex a bit. Now I need to sew the torn part of the mesh up so it doesn't rip out as there are only a few strands holding it together. What is worse, I don't think this is something you can use with one hand either, which will be a problem with a fish on. It looks like pre-planning is required but even still, the way the ring is attached, you can't clip it to anything once it's open. So, it's OK & too much trouble to send back.

Ouch!
Received the net today and as others have said "no instructions included"! Thanks to the questions that previous owners had answered it was possible to figure out how to unfold and fold the net. The handle does telescope even though someone had said it did not. It is easy to pinch a finger (at least for me) while trying to fold the net and even when telescoping the handle. It is not easy to fold and unfold the net and that is the most disappointing thing about this product. It is easy to carry and and the price was good. So no instructions and hard to fold and unfold, suggest another net might be a better choice.

Good quality, easy to use
Impressive! Exactly what I needed so that I can stow away a medium-sized net. Good quality, easy to use. . . (Once I figured out how to fold it back) (Instructions are a little sparse, but the quality of this net overcomes that) Very-well built and well designed. Great quality.(The trick to fold it back is to push down on the center flange where the handle meets the net until it releases the sides of the net --the instructions called it a "button" but again, I am still impressed

NETTING NOT AS EXPECTED
Hooks get easily stuck in the netting. I had to slightly cut the net to get the hooks out. The only positive is the collapsing frame which allows me to easily store in my boat otherwise it is a terrible product. Luckily I replaced the netting with a rubber coated frabill that I recently purchased in Walmart to replace this one.

She uses it almost daily and it's heels up nicely all summer
My daughter is obsessed with catching frogs and fish in our pond. She picked out this net for that purpose. She uses it almost daily and it's heels up nicely all summer. The mess is fine enough to catch small things and strong enough to catch large animals. It's much larger than I imagined it, but works great and folds up nicely, although that was a little tricky to figure out. (You have to pull back on the center bracket to fold the arms down.) Overall, a great purchase for our uses and a high quality item.

Perfect for kayak fishing
From reading other reviews I wasn't sure what to expect. The designed is ingenious and simple once you get use to how it works. I plan on using this for kayak fishing and I think it will be an enormous space saver. It is solidly built and should suit all my needs. It's not built to land 50+ lb. fish, but should handle fish in the 20 to 30 lb. range with no problem. I think it's a perfect size for those wanting to kayak fish.

Handle not secure.
The handle telescopes but easily parts when extended. When I tried to use the net the tightening ring split as I tried to tighten it extended. I had to drill and insert a screw for it to hold extended. What a pain!
