Has never failed me! Excellent torque and long battery life
I love a Makita drill. This particular model is one I use every day as an installer of window treatments, shutters, draperies, and blinds. The batteries charge fast and the drill works every time. I use it all day a lot of days. It’s not something I pick up and use occasionally. This model drill is very Dependable. You won’t be disappointed! I spent 20 years in the Navy as an aircraft mechanic and I wish that I had a battery operated drill like this. It would’ve saved countless man hours! But these types of tools weren’t a common thing back in the 80s. Retired AMSC United States, Navy. Go USA!

Makita Nutjob here.
I am a Makita Nutjob and own many, many Makita products. This drill driver is perfect, light weight good power fits my dainty hands and best of all, it's a Makita. Even with a 5ah battery it's still light weight. 1 and 2 ah battles allow you to get into tight areas.

Recommend for hard use
I am a handyman contractor and I use a drill hard and daily. My drill lasted 4 years before it got jammed and I couldn’t get my drill bit out.I believe the drill would have lasted much longer if I had taken better care of it.I have purchased another and recommend the drill, even for hard use.

Its a Makita
Its what I expect from Makita. They are the 18v battery tools I use because they work. Have been using Makita battery tools since the 9.6v tools and some of those batteries still charge up. Professional quality tools.

I love my Makita tools!
I have about 20 Makita tools and have loved them all (with one exception -- a small recip saw). This one is no exception. Strong and reliable. Worth it.

Not a quality tool
I have owned a few cordless drills in my time but this one is not my favorite. Its light weight and works with the batteries I have but that is all I like. The chuck has no real clamping force, a bit larger than 1/4" will spin in the chuck in hard wood and forget drilling metal at all. (I'm a machinest, and keyless cucks are a proven technology that I use daily) The cuck connection to the drill motor has become loose, like it's been used for thousands of hours after about 2 hours of actual spin time. My previous Rigid branded drill lasted 15 years and weighed only a few ounces more with a batterie that lasted a similar run time, so this drill is a POS.
