Carlinisms galore!
What more can be said about this comedic genius? A lot of material that you would've already heard if you've followed his work. Still, reading it gives you a chuckle or two - don't try to keep a count, though! Quite refreshing and relevant. Carlin just makes a lot of sense, consistently!

Brilliant book... Very bad print quality...
The print is of very cheap quality. It looks like it's been photocopied from the original. Doesn't feel like a book. You're probably better off finding the kindle version.

A bit of a dud joke
It's unfortunate that this book didn't translate as well as I thought it would.George Carlin is clearly, or was, a clever guy. His wit, his scepticism and his complete disregard for the rules are what made his stand-up so enjoyable. However when these jokes are written down it can be hard to feel their emotion in the same way you do when they're delivered live. It's this lacking in timing and delivery that makes this book a bit of a dud joke.

Brilliantly written, brilliantly structured.
Just a brilliant, hilarious book of ravings and rantings. To be honest, I'm not an avid reader (I do enjoy it, just in small doses) and the way this book is set up is perfect for me. There are no real chapters making it easy to put down and pick up again whenever you're ready to. Although with this book you'll be picking it up frequently. Assuming you're a fan of George that is.

the world lost an amazing person, but books like this keep his spirit ...
Carlin was a comedy genius, this book gives the reader small 'one liners', you can pick this up anytime read a couple of lines, and instantly put a smile on your face. When carlin died, the world lost an amazing person, but books like this keep his spirit alive.

A Whole Stand-Up Comedy Show...in a Book!
This is definitely one of the best books I have every read. Anyone who enjoys George Carlin's stand-up or any stand-up comedy in general should read this book. Mr Carlin is just as suited to the pages as he is on stage. When I first read this book, I literally laughed out loud as he ranted and raved at just about anything you can imagine. His passages on language, people and the world in general are some of the best pieces of comedy material that I have ever come across. This is a recommended read for anyone who is ready for a good laugh. May I also recommend Mr Carlin's 'Napalm and Silly Putty' and 'When Will Jesus Bring the Pork Chops?', the second and third books in the trilogy. Each one is guaranteed to make you laugh.Happy reading!

Brain Droppings
This is the first book I read by Carlin. I've seen many of his shows and found the book to be more of the same carlin-comedy. Stories, rants, jokes, one-liners... they are all there. The book is a great mix of it all. I can recommend it to all who like George and the comedy he brings. Before reading the book, I would recommend seeing at least 2 of his shows. That way you have an idea of what he does and how he delivers his jokes.
