Dr.Devlin explains the concepts in a friendly manner while emphasising on rigor. Great book of introduction. Good for all people.

I bought this book as part of the course I was taking on-line.Mr. Devlin makes the process of learning math, that is, understanding math, very enjoyable.It takes several tries to get what he is teaching, but well worth it.He is the reason I decided to go back and relearn math, right from grade 9 and now pursue a new career - and I am 57 years young!
