worked great, price is great
I really thought this thing would break on my 2gr-fe head bolts, but it did them without any issue.

Does the trick!
As a mechanic, I dont often work on Toyotas, but I have an engine job on an older Tercel that caused me to go looking for this tool. These are true "bi-hex" internal bolt tools, not to be confused with "tri-square" bolts that are used in European design car engines. Both are 12 point bit, but they are a different shape for sure. I was unable to locate this tool locally in a timely fashion, so I opted to order this set from Amazon. Upon opening the package, I noticed that these are decent made. Not professional mechanic tool quality, but definitely usable for the occasional job. As with any tool, if you need this tool more then once in a while, I would opt for a professional grade tool. For the occasional user, It does the trick! Fits well into the bolt head, has 1/2" drives for use with your standard torque wrench and breaker bar, and has a decent finish. Well worth the price!

Bargain price...Decent tool.
Purchased this set to remove the 8mm head bolts on a Toyota 5EFE engine in a 1995 Tercel.Cleaned all head bolt socket heads out with Brakleen and a paper towel on the end of a screwdriver, and then blew clean with compressed air.Splines on tool are a very tight fit into head bolt socket, and require a deadblow hammer to drive in until seated. Also, had to machine down the hex shank on the tool as it was to large in diameter to clear the casting on the cylinder head to get access to the head bolts.Splines on tool will probably loosen up after use, however its still a good idea to seat it in with a deadblow hammer to verify that you are getting full engagement of the splines.I would not recommend this to be used on an impact driver.

Worked
Worked well on my 2az-fe engine head bolts. A little expensive for what you get.

Have to use special tool
Used to remove head bolts on a 2005 2.4 4cyl Camry. They couldn't use normal head bolts a socket would fit. Anything to keep the average person from working on their own vehicles. This is a tri square. Dont try using a torks it will round off. Tool is good quality and performed well.

There's a lot of confusion in the reviews
These are Bi hex aka double hex for Toyota head bolts. Comparing the point sharpness to triple square wrenches, used for vw/Audi, is an apples to oranges. Triple square have a 90* point angle compared to 30* for the bi hex, so obviously the triple square looks sharper. But using a triple square wrench in a bi hex bolt could lead to problems due to there only being contact at the points and no shoulder engagement. It is similar to trying to use a torx bit in a regular hex screw, they are both technically 6pt but the geometry is obviously different, more so than with the bi hex/ triple square. I hope this helps to eliminate the confusion of some reviewers and prevent someone from damaging a tool or fastener.

Works for 2009 Toyota Matrix 1.8 (2ZR-FE)
The 10mm tool worked perfectly for my 2ZR-FE engine.

Made of soft metal
The bit is the correct size for my Toyota Camry. It worked great for the first 4 headbolts. On the 5th, the tool soft metal gave way, and if I continued to use it, it would have stripped the headbolt. Upon further examination of the tool, I can see the teeth bent, scratched, smoothed out, or what ever you call it. The tool no longer worked for removing the tight headbolt. I blame it on the soft metal it is made out of. I do not recommend this tool to anyone. Instead buy from the name brand store that begins with 'Na'. KD Tools 2306 12 mm Serrated Wrench. The Na Tool is black metal, much stronger and the teeth more defined. I had no problem removing the rest of the headbolts with the Na Tool---------------Update: The KD 2306 tool is incorrect because it is a triple-square. Toyota needs a bi-hex. Which is different.

Good tool I would recommend
Use this tool to remove the cylinder head for my 1998 toyota tercel. It worked great you just have to be sure to get it all the way in the bolt that your removing in order not strip the bolt.
