Yet as cool as it is to hook up artists from disparate genres, sometimes these fusions look better on paper than they actually sound. Not so this project, which finds A-list rappers (Busta Rhymes, Bubba Sparxx, Rah-Digga, et al.) joining forces with topnotch electronica heavyweights like Crystal Method and Roni Size. There's much to dig here, but there are a few glaring missteps. Witness "Cowboy," in which the flamboyance of Fat Boy Slim's rubbery funk only underscores Eve's lyrical weaknesses. Also iffy is "Getting Aggressive," which reduces Mystikal to background noise underneath Moby's intrusive onslaught of rhythm. Better balance is found on Mos Def and Massive Attack's intense cover of Bad Brains' "I Against I"; a ghetto-fab but gritty partnership between Jadakiss, Fabolous, and Danny Saber; and Gorillaz and Redman's giddy "Gorillaz on My Mind." Credit everyone involved for delivering a soundtrack album that is much more than tie-in product. --Amy Linden

Best Blade soundtrack.
This soundtrack is fun and diverse, much better than the third movie's. Though I admit my favorite songs make up the first half of the album. Still a great listen.

Blade II -Soundtrack to my favorite movie of the trilogy
Tweaking the formula of the earlier Spawn soundtrack album, which featured rock artists collaborating with electronic music artists, this soundtrack features rappers collaborating with electronic music artists. The songs, even the ones not used in the actual film, were a good fit to the darkness of the movie itself.

"Blade II" é forse uno dei primi blockbuster di Guillermo Del Toro ed é anche il capostipite dei film tratti da personaggi dei fumetti Marvel.Sì, il protagonista interpretato da Wesley Snipes, é forse uno dei più oscuri e sconosciuti personaggi del mondo del fumetto.Tornando alla colonna sonora, vanta collaborazioni introvabili altrove di guru della musica elettronica e grandi nomi del panorama rap e hip hop.Spiccano su tutti Fatboy Slim (con Eve), Massive Attack (con Mos Def), Moby (con Mystikal) , The Crystal Method (con Bubba Sparxxx) e molti altri.Canzone preferita: Roni Size con i Cypress Hill, in "Child Of The Wild West".

Tao Of The Machineが強烈だけど他もすごい
BTのアルバム「Emotional Technology」の自分が買ったバージョンにはTao Of The Machineが収録されていなかったので、同曲が一番安く手に入るこのCDを買いました。ちなみに映画も全部観ています。サントラ情報をちゃんと見ていなかったのですが、よくみるとものすごいメンツが揃っています。Fatboy Slim, Massive Attack, Paul Oakenfold, Roni Size, Mobyなどなど。Bladeの世界観にマッチした共通する雰囲気がある選曲で、アルバムとしての完成度も高いと思います。とりあえずTao Of The Machineは強烈。中古でもOKならば値段が下がりきっているうちに買ってしまうのがおすすめです。
