Danner Women's Striker Torrent 45 Duty Boot

I have been buying EMS boots for many years and only get about 2 or less years out of them depending on the brand. Since I am on my feet A LOT, I wanted something more durable and lighter. When I started researching for a better boot, I found these. I liked the look, style and the ankle height. As soon as they arrived, I took them out of the box, put my orthotics in and wore them to work the next day. My feet didn't hurt and they had good arch support. I hope they last me a good while since they are leather and are pretty well constructed. My thoughts on the size are, if you wear an 8 buy and 8.5. I read another review and that was their suggestion so I am glad I read it and took their advice. Great boot and good product construction.

I can not recommend them. Although they look good and appear well made they are stiff and heavy. If I had tried them on in a shoe store I would not have bought them. I have tried to break them in walking in my house; however they hurt. They are not to small, just stiff and uncomfortable.good and

These are beautiful boots! Really well made and supportive. I read a review about them being slightly small, and since I have a wide foot, ordered half a size up; but they were too big and I had to return them. They are higher then I expected in the shaft. I was looking for a boot just covering the ankle and these came up about an inch and a half higher then that. If you are looking for a higher boot, then this could be the perfect boot for you. I would mostly use for walking the dog and about town, so ankle height about 5 inch shaft from arch is perfect for me.Danner makes beautiful shoes and boots, so you can't go wrong; but I suggest you order your true size.

Well constructed boot! Have been wearing them at work for a couple mo The now. Take some breaking in. They are heavy, and they are hot! NOT an ideal work boot for summer months, but you get a high quality boot for a small price here! Took a couple wears to break in. Worn them standing in the rain and through the puddles. Kept my feet dry as is. Although, I wasn’t out there for an extended period of time.

Comfortable, supporting and keeps her feet dry! My wife is a correctional officer and works outside a lot. I have purchased her two pairs of under armor tactical boots both have worn holes in the sides, worn the tread off within a 18 months and hurt the arches in her feet. She had to add extra support inside just to get by. No extra support needed for the Danners. Dry feet, comfortable and supporting. Well worth the cost.

They look like they are a great boot. Unfortunately, they were too large when they arrived so I cannot at the moment give my honest feedback. I am reordering a smaller size so when i get those and have the opportunity to wear them I will gladly update my review.

Exceptional comfort, fit, quality... Grateful to reviews that ultimately lead me to buy these... WORLD of difference comfort-wise on 12-hr EMS shifts, PERFECT HEIGHT in that they provide full ankle support w/out being constrictive or stuffy... Hot feet by nature, these breathe VERY WELL also fit true to size. I'm a happy glamper...lol...
