Huge waste of water and doesnโt clean the pleats.
I had high hopes that this would significantly reduce the many hours it takes me to clean my filters, but the design just doesn't work. I have high pressure and used the included clips to maximize power to fewer nozzles. The design does in fact automatically spin filters in a horizontal direction, which allows dirt and debris to fall out once dislodged. Much better than standing the filters on end and using a hose with attachments as I'm sure many of us do.While very large debris does dislodge and wash out, the filters themselves barely get cleaned of the embedded dirt. I found that the edges looked whiter and cleaner, but the surfaces were not getting cleaned much at all (maybe 10% cleaned). High powered water streams need to hit these surfaces at an angle with good coverage to get them clean, but the nozzle orientation is vertical and can't get those side surfaces clean.I ended up doing it all by hand, as usual. I allowed the device to work for quite a long time per filter (20-plus minutes), but it didn't get the job done.Return policy is a firm 30 days. Looks like someone is going to pick up a bargain when I put it on the bay.

Works great if used more often with good technique
Updated 15 July 2022. Please read to end. I have 20 plus years with pool equipment. I found you must clean your pool filters more often so the debris is not impacted or sucked deeper/ harder into the pleats of filter. This allows this machine to work much better if debris hasnt been jammed hard into the filter pleats. Besides cleaning pool filters more often will save energy/ electricity because the pump won't work as hard and it will operate with less resistance to flow or less back pressure. So I clean my filters just before I see a maximum of 5 lbs. rise on the pressure gauge on top of filter housing.Below is the procedure I developed using this filter cleaning device (been using for multiple years now and still working like the day I purchased). I've tried many devices and methods and this is by far the easiest technique I found that is still effective. ๐.BTW I have two sets of pool filters for my pool to allow me cleann them thoroughly using this procedure.I slope this machine slightly and turn it on and let it run on each of the filters. As it spins the filters slowly crawl downward and flushes filters more evenly. I have large pool filters so it only gets half of filters at atime so I then have to flip filters to get 100%. I also found you have to rotate the sprayer nozzles so they spray directly into pleats. I repeat this process rotating spray nozzles at multiple angles against pleats to help clean filters.Note: I move this machine around on my lawn under trees so my trees and on grass so i spread the water over my entire lawn so it stays nice and green.I repeat this process on all four of my pool filters running approximately 20 to 30 minutes or longer depending on how dirty they are.Note: I strongly suggest removing the pool filters after seeing 5 lbs rise in pressure on pool pressure gauge. This keep the dirt, oil and debris from getting pressured or pushed hard into filters. This makes it much easier to flush off debris. My large pool filters are approximately $100.00 each/ 4 total so this saves me money keeping them Clean so it keeps the water flowing in system flowing with more energy efficiency which saves money. On top of that it also keeps pool cleaner which also requires less pool chemicals saving even more money. I'd definitely recommend buying one of these machine and useing it very often.Note: I have two sets of pool filters and I rotate them so I have time to clean and soak my filters very thoroughly. After cleaning filters with this machine, I then soak them in a large trash can (holds all four of my filters) with TSP cleaner mixed with water or citrus cleaner and water over night. I then put filters in machine and flush/ rinse for approximately 20 to minutes again on each filter in the yard again watering grass and large trees. NOTE: BE SURE TO USE CLEANERS SAFE FOR PLANTS!After rinsing/ flushing each filter. I place then in large trash can to soak overnight again IN PLAIN OLD CLEAN FRESH WATER to be sure filters are completely free of any residual cleaner or soap residue. After soaking I test rinse with hose to be sure no soap foam is present.Once clean and sure no soap residue is present I dry the filters and after completely dry, I then place them back in original shipping box for storage until next filter cleaning is required. Then i swap them out with this set of filters and repeat cleaning process.THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT TO BE SURE 100% CLEAN OF ALL RESIDUAL SOAP. NOTE: SOAP IN YOUR POOL SYSTEM WILL CAUSE SPIKE IN SULFATES WHICH ARE IN SOAPS/ CLEANERS AND WILL FEED OR ENHANCE ALGAE GROWTH REQUIRING CHEMICALS BE ADDED TO POOL!So be sure you rinse filters thoroughly to remove all foaming from possible soap residue. The reason I soak my filters in TSP cleaner or Citrus Cleaner is to break down the oils on filters from sunscreen, tree sap and or other sources. I have very large oak, pine, ash, liquid amber and echachia trees along with grass growing in proximity of my pool so it gets lots of leaves in it. I also have four large breed long haired dogs that shed year round and thier hair blows into pool constantly.I've been getting 4 to 6 years out of my filters depending on brand quality. Some of the shorter life filters were still very good filters because the flow rates were great (saving money on electricity to run pump with less resistance) and the water was just as clear or clearer than others that lasted longer.Filters and quality now thats another review ๐.I also use skimmer socks to help keep smaller fine debris out which I have another review.

Needs to be longer.
I get sending spray blocking clips for when your filter is shorter than the device, but when your filters are longer it's less efficient because they didn't have spray nozzles going all the way down the water line. Why do that? Now it takes twice as long to clean because I have to flip the filter over to clean the rest of it

Could be better
Worked good for 15 minutes the filter stopped turning. Web site suggested utilizing bands to add friction. Cannot find the bands so will make them out of neoprene sheet. Then it should be a great product

Hated cleaning the filter with hose and nozzle. This takes the work out of it.
Does a pretty good job cleaning the filter. I do get them cleaner with a high pressure nozzle against the filter, but this device makes the job pretty effortless. I used the supplied nozzle covers to close up one of the nozzles and pressure-wise it's fine and covers a little over half the length of the filter. I let it turn the filter for about 4 minutes and then flip it to do the other half for another 4 or until the water coming off the filter is clear. I would have given it five stars, but I'm worried about it's longevity. It's built from very lightweight materials and I fear it won't hold up long. I've only used it 4 times now, and the last time I had to give it a little shove to get the filter to start turning.

Underperformed despite exceeding maximum efficiency rating.
Despite exceeding the maximum requirement of 10 GPM it underperformed. I plugged 3 of the jets to get higher water pressure and it was a little better but still didn't meet my expectations. I still had to flip my cartridge to clean the other side. That's when I thought... If I'm using the recommended time (3-8 minutes), I'd be using 640 gallons to clean my 4 filters! It uses a lot of water and produces poor results. The concept is amazing and I was really hoping it would work.

East to Handle
This unit was so light weight that I didn't think it would last. However it works well on my spa filters and my pool filters. Very easy us use. Recommend a filter cleaner to be sprayed on filters first.
