Cat was scarfing it down at first....
...but now she will just pick over it. Sometimes when she get soft food and she have a hard time getting to the bottom of her bowl I will put it to where she can get to it. When it's dried up I will clean out her dish. She will let this cat food dry out and hope I will give her better soft food and I won't b/c this food is keeping her glucose at a normal range where as the Fancy Feast Classics was always elevating her levels to 100-180. She's recovering from her diabetes and I've been feeding this Evo to her since last month and I've only had to minister insulin only six times since her diabetes flared back up.She was diagnosed in July 2012 and was given Purina DM dry food. She went into remission but last November it came back. I tried to do the same like I did a year prior but she didn't take too well. I was giving her Iams but that was detrimental to her health. I switched out to Fancy Feast Classics b/c it's low in carbs. Her sugar was ranging in the high 100's but since giving her Evo since last month her sugar has been in the normal range and no insulin was required. Now will she eat it? No. But she better. My pocket book is already wearing thin.

Sick kitty
I bought this food because of the great reviews, but after feeding it to my 7 month old kitten, he started to have diarrhea. I did not believe it was from Evo at first so about a week after he was feeling better I fed him another can and he got diarrhea again. I have not given him anymore Evo and he is all better. I've recently read that Evo is very rich and can cause stomach issues if it is not transitioned into slowly so maybe when he is older I'll try to ease him into it...

Better canned cat food
Some of my cats ate it, one just smells it or take little bites. It could be because its turkey.Compared to other can cat food, it really looks like quality cat food.

Can't believe how fast it got here!
My cats are finicky and won't eat anything else. It's getting hard to find this food. My order arrived 2 days after I placed it, really fast.

Questioning if EVO is still a good food
I have been feeding my cats EVO Duck for the past 5-6 years. I recently changed back over to Wellness and Felidae as I have noticed that the EVO food has been changing colors. It (EVO Duck for cats) is now a nasty gray color, no longer the rich red/brown color duck is known to have. It also has no congealed juice/gravy on the top of the food any more. This is usually found in good cooked food made with fowl.Over the past 2 months I have noticed a change in smell, color and consistency. Another clue that something was different was that my cats had started getting sick after eating, lots of vomiting. It was starting to smell like regular old rancid cat food where with old EVO you could actually smell what meat was used (it actually smelt GOOD). It makes me wonder what kind of rendered crap is in there now!I have written P&G and was promised that there would be no change made in recipe, meat sources and other ingredients within the first year. The year anniversary for the buyout was in January 2011. I had been assured a few months ago that they would still be procuring everything (same grade) from the same sources that EVO had used before being bought out. With that year over with, I have seen new changes every time I look in a can.Having worked in a vet hospital in the past, I know that pet food industries are NOT required to make changes on the food label until 6 months AFTER the change has been made in the formula. I am very aware of the mess P&G got into with the Melamine a few years ago and I don't want to risk it. I have opted to go back to Wellness (yes they had a recall recently, but were great about quickly buying back food. They also have put in other measures that I am comfortable with to prevent this from occurring again)and Felidae. Both of these foods are manufactured by original owners who have set standards with both brands.I will not risk it and I would advise anyone thinking about EVO to do a little homework before purchasing. It looks to me like they are charging top dollar for sub standard quality.

Evo good
One cat loves it the other cat won't eat it.....I have to mix it with tuna or chicken to get her to eat it.

didn't try it myself
the cat likes it, asking for it every day... says meow each morning. I add probiotics and he scarfs it down.

SCARY bad cans from EVO! WARNING, Read before feeding:
My cats have been eating this canned kitten cat food for several years. They really liked it and I liked the low carbs, no grains formula.THAT IS, until recently, I noticed a change. I ordered a case of this food and it looked and smelled different than normal and they wouldn't eat it. I called the company to report the bad batch and returned the food and reordered a different batch, i.e. cans with different dates and codes..Then last night, 2 of my cats got sick from it. Vomiting and bad diarrhea. These boys never throw up! Or I should say very, very rarely. So this is VERY unusual. This evening they both ate EVO canned kitten and turkey formula (purple label) for dinner. This is the first time they've become ill from it. I can only assume the food was bad. My third cat did not eat that food and he is fine- playful and active as ever. I am upset and angry about this. Makes me less trustworthy of EVO.Just read NOW (today,March 16, 2013) on TruthAboutPetFood.com that there is thought to be Salmonella in recent batches. Please check with authorities ( the company and FDA) before feeding this food.
