Lovely piece - I have one and bought this for a glftBeautiful design, wood and utenseis. I keep mine out on the island with a bowl of fruit when not in use - which it usually is. Never fails to get a comment. This is a substantial piece - larger than it looks - hefty so it doesn't shift around. Can’t say enough how beautiful this piece is...for the price. A great value

I had considered going with a cheaper item, but when I saw this, I thought it was beautiful (and the generous size that I wanted), so I ordered it. It did not disappoint. The wood is beautiful, it's a great size for entertaining, and the magnetic knife and spreader are not only useful but also very well-designed. They adhere nicely to their niches in the sides of the board. The board IS "heavy" -- about four pounds, I think -- but that is not an issue for me. My significant other and I recently went for a picnic at a local winery, and he was very impressed when I pulled out this board and put an assortment of cheeses, meats, pickles, spreads, etc. on it. It looked beautiful, and I swear it enhanced the taste of the food! The surface did get a few scratches from the knife, but....it's wood, so that's going to happen. I oiled it with some mineral oil made especially for wooden cutting boards, and it still looks great. A wonderful product -- worth every penny!

Gave this as a gift. The box itself is lovely. It was so substantial looking. The spreaders fit into the block and it's even magnetized to keep them in place. The recipients loved it and we felt very proud to give it. Really a very high quality item.

This Cheese Block is a work of art (like many Nambe products). It is even more beautiful and impressive in person than in the picture. We've had it about five years and it always gets rave comments when we serve cheese to company. It is ideally suited for cheese and wine tasting parties.I wasn't sure when I first looked at the knife and spreader if they would be practical or just decorative but they work fine. The magnets securely hold them in place so there is no problems finding them when you get the block out each time.

I grew up not far from where Nambe as a company started life! We have very large home.The formal dining table sets 14. Middle of table is the largest Nambe butterfly bowl.The cheeseboard is magnificent.Designed for easy pick up. The Nambe knife is very sharp.Spreader is perfect in Nambe design. I’ll be Ording ten or more as Christmas gifts. Simply stunning

Great gift

I want to start out by saying that this cheeseboard is beautiful! It is very substantial and I love the way the spreaders are magnetically held in place on the board for easy serving. I absolutely love Nambe products and own several of my own and think they make great gifts. They fit any style, they are practical and useful.I intended to give this cheeseboard as a wedding gift to our neighbors along with another Nambe piece. It took longer than expected to arrive and when it did, the box was clearly damaged and had been opened along with the original Nambe box inside. I am assuming this occurred at the shipping station before it arrived at my home and that is why it was late. Unfortunately, they rewrapped it in brown paper and the piece was damaged on the edge. Customer service was fantastic and I decided to purchase a different piece for the couple.

It's bigger than you might think, and heavy. Beautifully done and I completely missed the fact that the knife and fork are magnetically seated in their positions... very kewl ! We have the Nambe' Ice Bucket and added this to accompany the setting for parties. Plan to add the serving tray and eventually, some of their exquisitely made coasters. Such nice stuff... the kind of stuff you pass down, generationally...
