Solar Powered Bilge Pump

I've had the smaller version for about eight years and it has worked perfectly over time. I just had to replace the battery recently. I am putting the newer, larger one in my lobster skiff and the smaller one will go into my smaller skiff so I WON"T have to bail it anymore.

This pump worked well for the first two years I had it in a 14 foot aluminum rowboat on the lake in Maine. However, 2023 proved a game changer. The pump was totally overwhelmed on multiple occasions and didn’t have time to recharge for the next rain storm. In hurricane Lee, it actually disappeared. I am a bit of a novice at Boats. I replace the battery and recharged it multiple times with a trickle charger, and the even the new battery would not hold its charge unless your house is right next to your dock, I wouldn’t rely on this if you have a good motor on your boat.

Pump was not suited for salt water use, however supplier provided a new battery with greased connections that will hopefully allow it to work properly.

Works well, leaves about an inch and a half of water. Needs to be better secured during shipping. Mine didn't work out of the box and on inspection the battery had been shaken loose from one of it's leads, the foam (that probably would have secured the battery) was torn. Things have to be packed under the assumption that it will be drop kicked to your door.

I use this in my ten foot inflatable. Works perfectly. Needs mostly full sunlight all day. Pumps 90 percent of the water out of my boat. I left it in my boat for four months straight. Never had a problem.

Item works perfectly. As others have said, leaves about 2” of water but that’s what a hand pump is for. Fast shipping and packaged well.
