Rock solid
The package came and it had one tear on corner. There was no damaged parts. Was very easy to put together.Be careful tightening bolts u could bend square tubing if over tighten especially 4 bolts that have washers.I weigh 250lb and it is rock solid in garage on piece of carpet.I seen youtube videos of towers shaking like crazy but this one is very stable with no movement unless u get wild. The dip bar handles are very solid and dont flex like other towers I see and are suprisingly very thick and comfortable .So for $150 sometrhing it was a excellent price and love the arm hangs and rowing handle and adjustable dip bars.

solid tower, safe packaging
This pull up station was packaged safely enough to survive some damage to the shipping box. The pieces are really solid, and key joints at the end of the metal pieces are covered with cardboard to prevent denting during shipment. Mine shipped Fed Ex. When putting the tracking number in their website, I was able to get an estimate of the specific day the unit would arrive. It's something to consider if you need to plan to be there for the delivery. The instructions recommend 2 people to put it together, which would have been a good idea. That said, I was able to put it together correctly on my own. The sturdiness of the bar dip handles, and the ability to adjust the height, were factors in deciding on this purchase. The bar dip handles are even more solid in person than they looked in the product pictures. Really pleased with those. You can fasten them on the outside or inside of the uprights. This gives you some flexibility in the width of the bar dip handle positions, though they feel a bit more secure when they are on the outside. This unit works great in my house with 8 ft ceilings. The unit is 7 ft tall, so plenty of clearance for my head above the pull up bars.I'm super impressed with the clear instructions, safe packaging for the nuts/bolts/washers, and overall sturdy build of the metal used in all the bars. Highly recommended.

I liked it -- but note that you need to have 2 monkey wrenches to assemble
Previously I was using "home gym" straps over a bathroom door jamb as my upper body exercise station, but eventually I started seeing cracks in the drywall, so I had to upgrade. My dilemma was whether or not to get a unit with the attached bench, thinking the latter might be less likely to tip to the front or back, but ultimately I went with this The only problem with the assembly (over an hour for me after I had to first go buy a second monkey wrench, though I did it without an assistant as the manual recommended) was that the manual said to first screw the bolts in only to finger tension, but also to screw the nuts past the tip of the bolts. But I needed those wrenches to make those nylon nuts go anywhere on the bolt -- no way that would have worked with just fingers -- so that was confusing and I even called the helpline, but they were puzzled as well. In the end, I just screwed all the bolts in about halfway before tightening them fully, and that seemed to work. The unit looks nice and seems stable so far, though I have doubts the cushioned backrest will last as long as the rest of it. I lightly whacked my head doing leg lifts, so that'll take some getting used to. Also, you have to use the shoulder straps for the leg lifts-- there's no arm-rest on the tricep bars which I think is the usual way these things are set up. I like the little sit-up bar in the back support, which most other units don't have -- that allows for some good bicep exercises using the straps. Depending on what you do with some extra "home gym" straps like the ones I started with and an exercise ball (neither of them is included), it seems to me that you can get a lot more workouts out of this than what you see (though you'd be doing that at your own risk). There are only two (side-raise and front-raise) positions for the pullups (though you can slide your arms a bit for the side-raises) and it might not fit for everyone, so there's some risk involved if you're unusually sized. I'll eventually strengthen the muscles needed to fit this, but maybe a wider or differently angled set of handles would have worked out better.
