I was a little worried about finding the right weight blanket for my 8 yr old, who's anxious at bedtime. We've been using it about a month now, and it's been transformative. She visibly relaxes when we put it on her at night, and she reports she's not up for a while thinking about scary things anymore. She's about 60 lbs, and the 7 lb weight seems pretty good. Won't have to replace it for a while. Color is nice and quality is good.

I was never hot which was my primary concern. As for the weight, there is something to the distributed pressure that is seriously comforting without feeling restrictive. It's firm but gentle and you can still move around. I feel asleep listening to a guided meditation that goes deep underwater, so the pressure of the blanket was a terrific compliment. I slept through the night, woke up before my alarm, and for the first time in a long time look forward to going to bed tonight.

great quality blanket... we did our reasearch and went with this one. Our toddler sleep and waking up issues.. problem solved immediately after first night.. he sleeps straight thru now...

The blanket is really comfortable, and I have noticed an improvement in my sleep since using it. I tend to wake up a lot during the night, and this blanket helped prevent that. The price is also fantastic! I have seen weighted blankets that range much higher for the same value. My only reason for docking one star is that the blanket is a little small. I ordered the queen sized blanket, and it is not quite wide enough for my bed. The length is ok, but the blanket barely touches the edges of my mattress so there is no extra room on the sides. It makes it way too small for both my husband and myself to sleep under it together. Other than that, I am totally happy with my purchase.

I'm giving it a 5 start because it's the perfect weight for my 3yr 11 month autistic son who's around 40-45lbs (he's a soild boy not chunky). The first night he tried it he sleet through the night. The second night he woke up because he had a accident but after he got changed and I changed the sheets(also washing the weight blanket, which came out amazing) he went back to sleep. As he gets older I know I'll have to buy a heavier weight.

I had high hopes for this blanket, but unfortunately, mine has an issue that make it suboptimal--the proprietary stuffing is not evenly distributed in the baffles. Some rows have barely any weight to them, just fabric, which makes the blanket very light in places, which renders it no different than a regular bedspread. Not sure if the squares were never stuffed, or the stuffing has shifted. With no weight around my shoulders, it basically does nothing. :(

I bought this as a Christmas gift. I bought the 20lb weight. It is important to look at what weight of blanket you buy depending on the person's weight. I really didn't understand that until the blanket arrived. I loved the two sided colors. Stitching seems well done.
