As advertised
Shipped and received over the holidays, had a locksmith replace my older lock that had a latch problem. Perfect replacement. Locksmith keyed it with my older keys so I didn't have to change keys. Tip, be sure to order left or right handle that you need for your door. Mine was the left handle, local hardware shop had on ly right handle AND it was more expensive.

Expensive, but solid and well-built.
We had this same handle on our door for about 15 years before the spring on the thumb latch wore out. We bought a new replacement of the same model and it works perfectly. It is expensive but solidly built -- no plastic parts. The thumb latch movement is springy and firm. We look forward to another 15 years of use!

By simply pushing down on the inside handle you unlock the deadbolt, that is a nice feature, !

Dead bolt broke during installation.
For such a costly lock it sure is very flimsy/cheaply made. The dead bolt broke during installation. Have returned the lock waiting on refund.

If you don't get the detailed installation instructions, stop installing!
Baldwin Manchester is a very good product for securing your home. However the experience I had was not pleasant. First I didn't get the detailed installation manual and I attempted to install it using the pictorial and ended up spoiling the latch. 3 replacements later and 6 weeks past, I managed to get it righted. Innumerable calls and emails to Baldwin technician, vendor, color copy of user manual sent through email, frustration mounting, lots of broken or wrong parts later, finally got it installed.
