Thank you, thank you, Gooby! Nothing fits my barrel chested Chihuahua mix, until now. This vest is perfect for her. Now she can go to The Smokies with us this November. I am a bit worried the harness clips won't hold, she does pull. They look very well made and secure. Can't test them now because we're in Florida and way too hot for this vest. Also hoping the zipper continues to work. I'll update after our trip. Again, it looks well made, just hesitant because of past product (not Gooby) failures. Her sister already has a sweater but I'll be getting her one of these, too. I purchased a large for my 12lb barrel chested girl.

I LOVE this vest for my French bulldog who is 28 lbs. I got an XL. I have searched high and low (and tried out several) for a warm sweater that also doubles as a harness and this one is PERFECT. Just perfect. I would definitely recommend for small dogs.

I waited until I had used this vest more than a few times and so far, it's worked very well. My dog "G" has got to be part whippet or greyhound judging by her structure. She wandered up one day and after searching for the owner for weeks, we decided to keep her. I haven't regretted it for a minute.So, since a regular collar wasn't ideal for this dog, my wife was the first to buy a harness, then a slip-over vest, then another and another. "G" didn't like any of them. So, I searched and searched until I found this Gooby Vest. I was a little worried about the sizing since she's not exactly 'normal'. Well, it fit well over her body and gives her plenty of room to move without being too loose. The material is soft and looks comfortable to me and has 'stretchy' material (like a sweater) on the bottom to ensure a good fit. The rings on top for a leash are perfect and I don't see any problem with how they are attached. Looks strong. I like that because it keeps the leash on top instead of one side or the other although, as you can see, there's plenty of room for a collar too if you want. The zipper seems like it's strong and will last, and just so you don't have trouble zipping it with a wiggling dog, there's a snap button at the top to lock it around her neck. From there it's no problem zipping. Personally, I like this vest but, I'm not so sure "G" is sold on it.She allows me to put it on her but, she really doesn't want it, which by the way is how she acts with ALL of her vests/harness etc.. Plus, when I take it off you'd think she had been wrapped in a blanket or something. She's FREE!! The only thing that I think might bother her is the material around the front leg holes which is bundled up inside around the hole. If I was wearing it I think in might bother me but, who knows why she isn't pleased. Also, instead of the leg holes she might like something that's more like a 'throw' over her and would allow her underneath to be free. Of course, I'm just guessing plus something like that would require a different hook up, like a real collar with it. The only way to know for sure is to buy all kinds of jackets/vests/throws and just see what happens. Well, that ain't going to happen. For now, this Gooby Vest is the one she'll need to get used to because it's the best of the many that I have, and it's the one I'm going to use. So, suck it up "G".My biggest objection was the price compared to most others but, as you can see, it's the one I'm going to use. Make up your own mind about that. My rating is 5 stars. "G's" rating is 3 stars ("G" gives 1 star for all the rest)

I was in love with this coat until I tried to take my dog for a walk last night. It fits him perfectly, so I was confused when he started walking weird almost immediately. I was trying to figure out if it was pinching him somewhere when I finally noticed it completely covers his "potty" part. He CANNOT pee while wearing this coat. Obviously, this wouldn't be a problem at all if he was a female dog. I'm going to try to alter it, because it is a very nice coat. I'm hoping I can cut the tummy part back a bit, and then re-sew it without ruining it.As a size reference for others - my guy has a very deep chest (he's only 18 pounds but needed the XL based on the size chart). Again, it fits him great except in that one area. He is a chihuahua mix, but is built more like a whippet. Deep chest, tiny waist, very long legs.

My dog is a weird size. But this puffer is great. Puffer is stitched well. It has a button at top to secure zipper. It has a thin layer of fleece( I would recommend layering shirts underneath) and a stretchy warm material going across tummy part. If your dog has heel and stays near you it’s great since it has loops to hook on leash. Green looks just like photos. Please buy.

We've bought two of these jackets for our Shih Tzu. We liked the first one so well we bought a second one in a different color. Some of the reasons I like this jacket is that the hooks for the leash are part of the jacket. Before we got this, we would have to put her harness on and then reach through the hole in the sweater or jacket and hook the leash on the harness under the jacket. Now we can easily hook the leash on as it is part of the jacket.Another reason I like this jacket is because it zips across her back. When it is time to go for a walk, I go up to her with in my left and right hands, she lifts up, and I slip her front legs into the holes. There is a snap that holds it together at her neck which makes zipping it up from the tail to the neck easy.It is warm and well-made.

I liked this for my 20 lb Shih tzu. Got an XL. Quality is good and zipper on top works well for ez on/off.However since he’s low to the ground I think I would prefer a fleec-y material on underside vs. the ribbed knit type. I took him to the beach and sand stuck all over the ribbed sweater part and I think with fleece it would just brush off, but with the ribbed it’s holding the sand. Plus with the ribbed it’s too stretchy, and I worry it will stretch over time and move back and forth on him. Overall a nice jacket for warmth and a light rain.

I tried so many different brands for my 2 Malteses, never finding a ‘perfect’ fit, they would be too big in the chest but right in the length, or right in the chest but not long enough or even too long and would get wet when he peed. This brand is as ‘perfect’ as it’s going to get for my 2, so much so that they have 3 different levels of jackets from this brand in several different colours each. This one is particularly forgiving as the underside has a bit of a stretch so even if your dog is on the margin, like my male one in the chest, he can still wear this size and not worry about covering his male parts if he had to size up. Top quilted side is water resistant but the underside not so much, not that we take them out when it is pouring outside. The d-rings for leash attachment are enough for us as mine are not strong pullers. Zippers on the back makes it easier to put on as it’s feet in first, the strip of material under the zip ensures you don’t catch their fur when you zip up. For under a tenner when offers are on, you can’t go wrong for quality and fit.

Super cute jacket for my boy. The lead clips built in are super convenient. Archie is not a puller so was very confident it would hold him securely. Zipper makes it easy to get on and off (so much better than having to pull over his head). The colour was perfect (I would have lost time in the snow if not for the vibrant purple). I found this ran small and the next size up might have been better. (Ordered an M, Archie weights 4kgs/9lbs)

I have three small dogs a Shih Tzu, Toy Poodle and a Cross Breed. I wanted a coat that zipped down the back making it easy to put on/off and also fitted with a D ring so they wouldn't require to wear their harnesses as I felt this was too much on small frames. This coat met all my requirements and performance wise exceeded expectations.

What a great coat ! I have ordered a few others in thr past, and they ALWAYS turn up to small or too big !I have a Poochon (Poodle and Bichon Frise mix) and Ollie weighs 9.8 kilos. I ordered him a large and it fits him perfectly, and he seems really comfortable in it (belly side is like a sweater knit)I'll definitely order a few more in different colours. Great buy
