Seems good!
I have had it up for a couple of weeks and it seems fine. Time will tell if it holds up!

Great suet feeder
This is perfect for the birds to rest their tail while pecking at the suet. A natural perch!

nice sturdy suet feeder
Just put it up...easy to fill. So far happy with it. Nice and sturdy feeder - and plastic so we won't have to keep replacing it! Takes the birds a little while to get used to the "intruder" in the tree. But they'll figure it out. It's going to last a good long time.

well built but no match for the wildlife in my yard
Beautifully built suet feeder, but no match for the critters in my yard. They pull the suet out no matter what I try to use to keep the top shut.

Good construction, too expensive.
This product arrived promptly, well packed and undamaged. It's been in use now for a few weeks with frequent use by woodpeckers and cardinals. Haven't cleaned it yet so I cannot provide any stars for 'easy to clean'. Quite an improvement over the cheap small green wire cages sold elsewhere for under $6. While it is a sturdy, heavy, well built product its price is too high. When and if this one dies, I don't think I'll make this kind of financial investment again.

Birds love it, squirrels hate it
This is a wonderful suet holder. The birds love it, especially larger birds like blue jays and woodpeckers. It took the larger birds some time to take to it, but now the feeding is almost constant. We go through a brick every 2-3 days and when empty we'll have 3-4 birds on our deck railing waiting for a refill. But, the best part is that squirrels really struggle. I'm sure they get bits and pieces, but nothing significant. I think this is partly because the suet is not exposed on all 6 sides, but instead on just the two large sides. Plus, the material is resistant. After approximately 1 week I noticed an area where a squirrel had chewed on the product. Yes, it damaged the feeder, but nothing significant, and no chewing since. If this was a normal wood feeder I am confident the squirrel would have worked through that wood destroying the feeder within days.We are planning on getting a second pole for our deck to add another of these and another seed feeder (we have the squirrel buster and it's amazing) just so I can hopefully have a bit more time between refills. Seems like I fill the feeders and by the time I put the seed/suet away it's time for another refill!

Sturdy Suet Feeder
I hesitated to purchase this (due to the price). I can buy the cheaper wire cages style feeders from the local big box stores. But I'm glad I went ahead and ordered this because it is of great quality! It is well made, and the materials should last for many, many seasons. It is easy to fill, and for some reason, the squirrels (who destroy even the most expensive of my "squirrel-proof" feeders, completely ignore this suet feeder! I've had problems with the cheaper cage-style feeders falling off of the hanger; I've not had that issue with this feeder. The wire cable is very sturdy and has held up to some very strong winds.I have already witnessed several birds (including a large pileated woodpecker). Unfortunately, I rarely capture any on camera. I plan on purchasing another of these suet feeders and placing it in another location where -- hopefully -- I will have a better chance of getting some photographs.
